If you want a light switch for on and off, with a three position slider for the speed, this is perfect. It matches the other switches and I can leave it on a setting without having to adjust it every time. High, medium, low.

My husband is what you would call an amateur electrician. We prefer to use Leviton products when at all possible. He installed this switch on our sun room ceiling fan with relative ease. The sun room has two light controls. One at the entry of the sun room and the other leading outside. He chose a three-way switch to the entry at the two gang. We have a light switch controlling the ceiling fan and the other one controllers the outside security light. We've never had any issue with the installation of Leviton light switches and or receptacle outlets and this one is no different.The package comes with the switch and no cover is provided. You will have to buy one based on your installation needs. Installation will take no more than 30 minutes for an amateur electrician and less than 10 minutes for a seasoned electrician.We had a chance to review Leviton DSF01-10Z Decora Rocker Slide 1.5A Quiet Fan Speed Control as well and the only complaint we have is that the fan speed slider controller is so small that it makes it somewhat irritating to make speed adjustments.**Single-pole switch controls just one circuit.**Three-way switch - an electric switch that has three terminals; used to control a circuit from two different locations.

This is a great switch. You can pre set the rate for the fan to spin, and easily change it as the whim takes you.Easy to install, works fine with second light switches. retro fitting couldnt be easier thanks to the fly wires hanging out the back - no need force the copper wires to the screw terminals and hope to line it up with the switch plate afterwards! No, this is easy to connect and position.Works perfectly, as it should - nothing ground breaking here. A simple switch that gives you the ability to easily control your fan from the wall, instead of the chain hanging off the ceiling.

Works as expected for my Panasonic bathroom fan. I like the functionality a lot, but not hitting the switch down a little bit every time you purposely hit the large switch takes some getting used to. You sort of have to be conscious about it, which your normally are not when hitting a regular wall switch. Even so, you get the good quality and functionality you expect from Leviton, and I'm not sure there is a better solution, as I don't really like complicated wall panels which would take conscious thinking anyway.
