This is a fun set for playing with dogs that love to play tug. The shark toy and rope knot are both very sturdy, my destructive chewer dogs haven't destroyed them yet. One star off because the strap that wraps around the tree isn't long enough to fit around the lower branches on the tree in my yard. The strap can still be used like a tug rope with the toys on the end, but I haven't been able to attach it to a tree like it's designed for.

So as far as the actual construction of the toy, when you take it out of the package, it seems to be durable. BUT, we have Boxers and they made VERY quick work of the destruction of the toy. In about 10 mins of tug of war, they managed to rip out the squeaker and turn the toy inside out. I will say that the design of the squeaker is genius. With other toys with squeakers, as soon as our dogs destroy them we have to search for the little plastic bubble so that they don't swallow it. This squeaker is built into the plastic kind of like a kazoo so it is not separate from the toy. Even after we cut the plastic away from the toy, they are still able to play tug of war and have continued to play tug of war for quite a few days now. I would say that if you have light to moderate chewers or dogs that PLAY with their toys and not instantly destroy them, this toy would be a great choice.

I have a working dog. She does not play. But we just recently got a kitten and my dog now plays with the cat and dog toys. We got this pull toy in the next of play training. Cross your fingers. This is definitely a sturdy strong pull toy. I love the way it squeaks when pulled.

How is this for large dogs? My little girl can hide this rope ball in her mouth and her brother could easily swallow it whole. The rope ball is only 2 inches in diameter. This is for small dogs.The shark seems durable and the squeaker activates when pulled, which my pups really like.However, the description really needs to include the rope ball diameter and change the designation to small dogs.The manufacturer needs to make this with a 6-8" rope ball to classify for large dogs.

My dog loves this toy and it makes it so much easier to play tug of war because I actually have a handle to hold on to. I haven't seen a toy like this ever, so its been pretty cool to learn how to use it with my dog. It has held up well over the last 4 months and my dog is a chewer, so thats a big plus! I would recommend if you have a doodle like mine that is always wanting to play tug of war
