I didn't rate this 5 stars for the following reason:I installed it inside the downstairs bathroom on the wall next to the door, and programmed it to its lowest sensitivity. It worked as expected, except that the light kept coming on whenever anyone walked past the open door. There's a wall mirror inside the bathroom that directly faces the doorway, so I thought the sensor might be "seeing" motion in the reflection. But from information I found online, I gather that's not in keeping with how motion sensors work--so I have no idea why this was happening. My solution was to partially cover the sensor with a piece of white electrical tape (as you can see in the included photo) and now the light turns on only when someone actually enters the room.

I have kids turning my fan on every time they use the bathroom and leaving it on (until I shut it off). This resolves that problem. And because of the location of the switch I wanted to reduce the sensitivity so the fan didn't come on every time you walked into the room. So I added 2 strips of "scotch tape" to the sensor cover and this reduces the sensitivity. Now it's perfect!

I installed this in my garage initially. Works fantastic. Open the door, start to walk out and the light pops on for you. Great when I have my hands full. I don’t have to worry about turning it off. I liked it so much, I put a second one in my store room in the basement!

This was an easy install. Functions as advertised. What I like best is the range of detection. I mounted this in our attached garage where we have a second freezer and fridge/freezer. It is perfect for quick entries and exits but it also works at night when the vehicle doors are opened for a little more security.

Exactly what I was looking for in our small half bath. With no natural light it was hard for people to find the switch when entering. Problem solved. Nice programming options allow for personalized functionality. The dimmer feature is great with the LED bulbs I installed.

We really enjoy motion sensors in our homes hallways, this product does the job and is environmentally efficient as you don't leave lights on when not in use. The settings allow you to custom time the amount of minutes the lights stay on.

I am using this switch in the bathroom. It will come on as I enter the room. There is a barely noticeable click sound when it turns on and off. I presume that is from a relay inside. This switch should work for LED, CFL, or ordinary lamps, as well as a fan, etc, provided it is under 250 Watts. This switch replaced an older switch I used to have that got ruined when I accidently shorted the load from a bad bulb. This one is much nicer. It has two buttons to configure the on time and On-Off modes, but the default setting is exactly what I am looking for. When I walk into the room it comes on automatically. It is supposed to sense very subtle motion so if you are in the room, it is supposed to stay on even if you are barely moving. I cannot speak to that because I have not had it long enough to test that. It will shut off 5 minutes after I leave the room (this time is adjustable to 4 or 5 possibilities, but I like 5 minutes). What makes this switch apart from previous switches, is that you have the option of turning it off. Just push the button. This means that if I go in for a few seconds to hang up my towel, I do not have to leave the light on for 5 minutes on the timer. I can shut it off. This is a REALLY nice feature. It is also nice for the guest bathroom, since guests are used to shutting the light off. This means I no longer need to explain to every guest to just leave the light on and it will take care of itself. They can shut it off if they want to, and no conversation is required.I have not tried the other configurations, but they are interesting. You can have it come on ONLY if the ambient light is too low. Of course, you can override on and off by pushing the button. It is supposed to "learn" what your idea of too dark is by when you manually turn it on, and when you don't. Again, I have not tried this feature. This switch also comes in a 3-way version. I have not tried it yet, but I like the idea. Make sure you know which type you need. The three way will work in a single-pole installation, but you are spending more than you need to.The switch does not need a neutral wire, probably because switches are not supposed to require a neutral. I does however, require a ground wire instead, and it will not work without the ground wire hooked up (according to the instructions). This switch is great and I intend to buy more of them.
