This one is sturdy.It does a beautiful job of slicing even wide vegetables, and I appreciate the gripper to keep my hands safe. It is definitely a very useful piece.

This mandoline is perfect for everyday cooking. It has a guide that clamps the slices to the size of the slice, and it allows you to keep slicing when you're almost done. It works well for me.
