I splurged on this tripod for a trip to Africa. Packed it by removing the tripod base and then couldn't get it back together once I arrived. I suspected it was missing a small piece from the base, so I emailed Manfrotto... got ignored. Then I reached out to them via chat. They claimed I broke it. Nothing is sheered or bent, but they're insisting that it's broken. It's one day past the warranty (although my first request was within the warranty period... the one that got ignored) and they won't help me even try to figure out how to fix it. So now I have a $400 carbon monopod that I can't use and never got to use. I expected WAY BETTER from Manfrotto. First... that customer service would take my request seriously instead of dismissing me as having broken an item that I disassembled as per instruction, but also that a $400 monopod wouldn't be so fragile as to have this problem in the first place. Save your money. There are plenty of suitable monopods on the market that aren't so ridiculously fragile and likely better customer service.UPDATE: As I suspected, the issue was simply a missing screw. I was able to track down the part through a 3rd party vendor for $20 (NOTE: Manfrotto sells this part only as part of a tube replacement for $90). I had to troubleshoot this entirely on my own, as Manfrotto dismissed me almost immediately as having broken my brand-new monopod and wouldn't entertain the idea that a part was missing. While I am relieved that a $400 piece of equipment is functional, I am still incredibly disappointed that this screw went missing so easily and that Manfrotto offered no assistance in helping me resolve this issue. As such, I maintain my 1-star review and won't be buying Manfrotto products again.

I got this for my DJI OM4 which is light weight devise compared to a heavy camera.I put a quick release and DJI OM4 and IPhone 12 Pro Max and stands about 5 feet without wind that is Max height I am comfortable to use this monopod. If higher than that I would put a heavy bag to secure the legs to make sure it stands while I shoot.Light weight and easy to use especially for traveling. Perfect for a petite woman. If you are serious camera man/woman, this monopod is not for you.

Well built and sturdy. With the feet it works well in windy conditions.

Love this monopod! The fluid motion foot is easy to remove. As a photographer... I don't feel the fluid head will get much use but the monopod itself is great. I also purchased the matching manfrotto rc200 xpro ball head. Fits will and they are an excellent pair!

It's a Manfrotto - enough said. Lightweight for as sturdy as it is - there are certainly lighter options but they will bend - and the panning motion as well as the footpad both are buttery smooth. It won't hold as steady as a tripod so you'll need to have a dedicated camera operator with a person holding it, but this wasn't meant for solo operations anyways.

This monopod is lightweight and very sturdy. I primarily use this with my Zhiyun Crane 2 Gimbal as a boom pole and it has almost no flex even when fully extended. Depending on the video head you mount to it you are going to add weight but this thing could still go anywhere.

This is one of my most used pieces of kit. Hit three levers (i don’t usually use the 4th), drop the feet and hit the latches. Bam, you’re stabilized. While it’s capable of standing on its own, I wouldn’t leave it alone outside, or with a camera on top. I paired mine with the Xpro ball head, and that’s a killer combo. If I’m carrying the camera and monopod in my hands, I can be set up for a shot in a matter of seconds. It’s not the lightest monopod you can buy, but it feels very sturdy, and it’s not too cumbersome. I feel like I could fight off hungry alligators and go golfing with this thing. The plastic latches bother me a little bit, given the robustness of everything else, but they work great and I’ve had to problems with them thus far (3 months). The levers can be tightened if they become loose with the little clip-on tool that falls off the monopod when you’re unboxing it. I’d recommend taking it off and putting it somewhere in your camera bag or pocket.

Saw a videographer using one at AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. After a good conversation and demonstration, I immediately ordered one upon my return home. Thoughtful design, top-quality materials and execution. Two fluid heads. Easily holds my Canon XL-2 and my Canon D6. Easier and lighter than a tripod. Extends to a great length. Positive locking mechanisms. A shoulder strap would be nice but easy to do myself. I have already used it extensively. I am most pleased.
