Constantly disconnects every few minutes, making it unreliable for drives. Screen often glitches, causing delays and frustration. Definitely not the seamless experience it promises. Disappointed with the performance—wouldn’t recommend this adapter.

Great little adapter. I drive a 2022 CR-V. I had it setup in about 2 minutes. I use a pixel 8 as my phone. You plug it in and it prompts you for Apple CarPlay first. I told it not to ask again. After I rejected that, it asks to pair with Android Auto. I had to disconnect my car Bluetooth first and forget the Bluetooth for the car. Then I could connect to the adapter. The wifi joins the car again via the adapter. That's how it works going forward. You actually connect to the cars Bluetooth, the other is always running too.

It's fast and easy pairing. I like that it's 2 in 1. A lot faster connection on start than carlinkit 5. Only con is if you have multiple device setup, you have to connect manually thru bluetooth for carplay/aauto to show. For wondering how to update, 192.168.1.101 is the ip.

My old Sony XAV-AX1000 unit, which required a wired USB cable to access CarPlay, just mysteriously stopped recently and despite a lot of time speaking with Crutchfield and Sony tech people, neither could help me get CarPlay back. It worked with Bluetooth (audio only), but not with CarPlay. The unit was initially installed in 2019, but had worked perfectly until recently - the only mitigating issue being that the battery had gone dead in the car. I went so far as to purchase a used second unit on eBay, which had the same mysterious non-connection problem to CarPlay using a cable.Anyway, I'd tried a Wireless CarPlay unit a couple of years ago, but I could never get it to work, so my expectation level with this ZUCWO unit was pretty low. But, lo and behold, it worked! At least sort of. The instructions are minimal, and the recommended way to pair it does not work exactly. It connects and is currently working, but it doesn't allow you to pair easily. Different pairing numbers appear on the unit and on my phone. I fiddled with it and it seems to be working now, and even restarts automatically when the Sony unit is powered down and restarted, so I guess I have to say it's working correctly, but I cantr say there was a point in all my fiddling that gave me confidence that it was 'properly' paired. Again, the instructions are minimal!The ZUCWO Bluetooth unit is quite small but easily plugs into the Sony XAV-AX1000. It features a small LED on the front that displays either red or green, indicating whether pairing is successful or not. I note that it does get pretty warm to the touch, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance. I'll try to get back with an update sometime in the future.

Hopefully the supplier can answer why the color LEDs constantly change color. The instructions are incomplete. I believe it needs to be upgraded and that is why all the colors. The device communicates both in Bluetooth and also in WiFi and I instructions say after connecting in Bluetooth so connect to its wyfi and then192.168.1.101. That's fine except the do not tell you the password. The company website and email is non existent and domain has expired. Can some one here help?

The set up was breezy. Just plugged in, connected to my phones and voila, wireless CarPlay is ready to use. It is very small in size and connects automatically with my phones. Price is very reasonable for such a great performing device and no more fumbling with the cables. Highly recommended
