Seems beautiful and I guess it’s painted wood.the wood is not heavy,and this point I didn’t like.not waxed as well.so waxed it by myself.will see how many time it will last,because solid it’s not,just beautiful.

Easy to move around kitchen granite counters …

While our KitchenAid tilt-head mixer is great to use -- at over 20 pounds, it can be a challenge to move around the countertop. This wood base perfectly fits the machine and allows it to be easily slid from place to place. We have not had this accessory long enough to determine if it will allow the mixer to creep while mixing a heavy dough -- but sliding the mixer to a place where it's easier to temporarily lift it off the base makes sense. For most mixing jobs, the stand mixer will remain on this wood base. I would add that the base is also visually attractive -- but it fits the unit so well that it's barely visible.
