I bought this to go with a new Moen shower fixture for a remodel. After the valve was roughed in and not returnable, the water wouldn’t turn off. It was too late to return it and I ended up spending more than the cost of the valve to buy a new cartridge. Very disappointing

Installs easily.. i soldered in no problem. the Stop Valves/clips are Awesome.. this should be the only option out there, all valves should have a local stop for hot/cold water - for ease of maintenance !! Ensure you take out the stops and the rubber seals and flush caps before soldering !

Bought two M-core valves. Both professionally installed same time. One drips constantly - since day one.

Good quality and decent price. The connections [hot, cold, shower] are not threaded as shown and will require soldering.

As GM said, I also had to pull and re-insert the cartridge to stop it leaking. (Just once, though.) I've replaced my share of cartridges over the years and never had a problem until now. A misalignment? Nothing appeared to be change but it did stop leaking.

Took 4-5 times pulling and re installing cartridge before it didn’t leak. The smallest amount of debris can cause a problem. I did flush before installing. Once corrected it works very smooth with no leaks. Instillation a little tricky - so far very happy after 3 weeks
