This rug pad had a terrible smell that never went away. The stench seemed to come from the rubber backing. I thought it would eventually off gas but after two months and a steam clean the smell was still incredibly strong. I've purchased Mowhawk rug pads before and never had this issue. We had to throw this pad out.

So comfortable, I do wish I’d done the 3/8 inch vs the 1/4 but it is still so much better than just our thin rug over our laminate floors.

We used this to secure an 8x10 in our den. Used over LVP flooring and keeps the carpet in place. Worked so well we bought a second one 5X 7 to secure a rug in a different room, also over LVP. Comfort and security

So weird you can't seem to buy these rug pads in brick and mortar stores these days. At least not around here. But this is what my rugs needed. Some extra cushion to go with the nonskid. Just like rug pads used to offer.The couch holds my rug down, so the nonskid is untested by me. Seems fine.

I did not realize that a rug pad would make such a big difference in the looks of my rug. This pad is very high quality, fit perfectly, it is dense and was easy to set in place... mine laid smooth and flat immediately. I believe this pad is so high quality that it will last a lifetime. It has two different sides for either a hard floor or for placing a rug on top of a carpet. I am getting ready to order a 8 x 10 for my dining room.

Definitely helps keep our rug from moving around too easily on the smooth laminate floors. No marks left by it so far, backing is similar to any other rubber backed rug you'd get. Not very plush, adds a little comfort to the rug but not sure it's worth the price over just a good anti slip mat. The pad is pretty firm but can be trimmed with good industrial scissors... the toolbox set kind not sewing or paper craft scissors!
