I was looking for something to help hold this rug in place. I bought the rug from IKEA and really love it, but it's a thin woven rug with no grippers or anything underneath. I have 2 very high strung dogs that like to get the zoomies and spin in circles, so this rug wasn't doing very well on its own, unfortunately. I got this rug pad a little larger than what I needed and cut it down. I also used rug tape underneath and attached it to the rug pad. It's perfect. It's been one day so far, but that rug hasn't moved, not even the corners. This is a MUST HAVE if you have a thin woven rug, definite game changer!

This rug pad is a total game-changer! My rug used to slip and bunch up constantly (vinyl plank floor), but now it stays perfectly in place—even with pets running around. It adds a bit of cushioning too, making the rug feel more comfortable underfoot. Super easy to trim and set up, plus it protects my floors from scratches. Honestly, if you’re tired of fixing your rug every five minutes, this is totally worth it!

Purchased a new area rug for my living room. Did not want to use the "foam" material pad that was under the old rug so I bought this one. It fits perfectly under my rug...about a 1# over hang of the rug on all sides which is perfect. One side feels a little sticky so your rug will not slip as you walk and clean it. Have been using it now for over a month and it is great. (The pad did smell when I opened it but I spread it out over a bench on my patio and after a few hours, that odor was gone.)

Makes a difference with my 6.5 x 9.5 rug. It smelled a bit when I first opened up but I aired out the room and the smell was gone then next day.It holds my rug well.

I recently purchased a beautiful yet flimsy rug on sale, only to realize it was a safety hazard as it slid around relentlessly, especially concerning for my grandmother. The effectiveness of this product is nothing short of amazing. Once in place, our once unruly rug is now practically unmovable! EDIT: Sadly this hasn't solved my problem. It certainly helps, but my dogs still run on it and it shifts like crazy. I even tried using carpet tape under the pad to stick to the tile and it still moves. I have come to accept that I will need to buy a coffee table or large ottoman in order to keep the rug in place. It's still better than not having anything underneath, but it's not a total solution either.I think I've finally found a solution to my rug sliding around! I have 3 big dogs, so they're always messing up my rug. This gripper is slightly smaller than my rug which is fine. I had previously used rug tape on my tile, but that unfortunately didn't hold. I actually put a little rug tape on top of the gripper so that the rug could better adhere to it and so far it's been a week of perfection! My dogs have gotten rowdy on it and it stays in place. I'm one happy dog mom with a pretty rug in place!
