Very useful for drilling inclined at 30 and 60 degrees

Finished one project smoothly, the angles are precious enough. Before drilling, I have to mark clearly since the guide has no positional indicators. Also, if drilling too deep, the driller grinds the upper boundary of the guide inevitably, which will eventually ruin the guide. The design of replaceable anchors is excellent, but i doubt it could survive heavy duties. Time will tell.

Discovered a manufacturing defect after the return window closed. The clear plastic made it easy to miss.

I bought it for my contractor to use on our new railing. He commented that the C clamp he used to secure it was blocking his ability to see through it properly. This was resolved by using two Irwin "micro" clamps which allowed him to position clamps and not block view.

Very simple jig that works well. I needed the 35 degree angle for my stair posts. I used the 3/16 metal slug in the hole and my 6" drill bit went through easily and accurately. 1/8 cable pulled through with ease when I was done drilling. If this had a bubble level somewhere in the middle I would have found that super helpful.

Takes little room so I can have with me to keep my drill angles decent when I need to when on the road. i could guess well but sometimes things will show.

On first use, you have to be aware that small dimple is created by the set screw holding the bushing in the plastic housing. This causes heating and localized melting around the perimeter of the stainless steel bushing at the interface with the plastic. Once you get past that it works pretty well. That is to say the dimple is worn away by the flutes of the drillbit. use a little grease and that’ll help.
