I had to return it. The drill was binding in the holes and getting stuck. Instructions are needed for board and screw drilling depth. If you are a beginner I would avoid it. If you know what you are doing g and can bore out the metal holes to a bigger size I would say go for it. Otherwise, forget it.

The provided drill bit did not fit into the sleeves. I spent 2 hours trying to get it to work properly.

I selected this jig because I wanted three equally spaced holes. I have been using this jig for several wood fence construction projects over the past 3 years. I mainly use it to prepare the horizontal 2x4 treated pine stringer boards for either 16d galvanized twist shank nails or #10 x 3-1/2" star drive construction screws. After drilling the pocket holes, I drill a pilot hole using a long 1/8" drill bit. Using a pair of jigs, I hang the board in place at the appropriate height and continue the pilot hole into the 4x4 post. I then install either the 16d nails or #10 screws to attach the stringer board.
