The ingredients here are solid, and it has enough protien that I am comfortable feeding it to my cat (cats are obligate carnivores). She enjoyed eating it! We have reordered this!

Like, cerral kibble for critters. There are two ways of serving up these tasty nom nuggets.One. As a topper. A quick smash gives me a flavorful and nutritious sprinkle for wet food or sprucing older kibble. This would be awesome for transitioning ya critter over to a new formula.Two. As a wet food. A bit of hot water or hot broth followed by a bit of steeping time results in a warm yummy dish. My Old Lady lines this on colder days. She then curls up for scritches and naps.

Nature's Advantage recommends mixing 25% of this raw formulation with 75% of the cats' original food, but we used only a fifth if that. We're fostering right now, so this bag was divided between our 13 year old tabby, a 3 year old stray mom, and her 4 kittens awaiting adoptive families. Everyone liked the food except for one who is already picky about treats and was the last to adapt to dry kibbles. Sometimes we have to break treats up for her so it's hard to tell whether we ran into a cat with a preference or an issue with her willingness to eat a larger morsel. With this food being freeze dried, it's softer than their regular kibble by a mile so I don't worry about her actual ability to eat it. But you know. It's cats. This doesn't even smell bad to us humans but who knows what a cat chooses to dislike or like. The quality is excellent. Ingredients: Duck, Rabbit, Herring Oil, Taurine, Mixed Tocopherols, Carrot, Apple, Tomato, Broccoli, Orange, Cranberry, Pumpkin, Spinach, Beet, Cherry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Vitamin E Supplement.Caloric Content4508 kcal/kg, 128 kcal/cupGuaranteed AnalysisCrude Protein: 46% minCrude Fat: 38% minCrude Fiber: 2% maxMoisture: 8% maxSo it's hard to judge the value. We would love to feed something like this to our older cat, who needs to maintain not just his weight but muscle too. But it's expensive per bag. The value for quality is good but the upfront cost isn't something everyone wants to shell out for. And we're not going to do that while we have all these cats.

I love that these are made with seemingly quality ingredients, and mostly meat, not a lot of cereal filler. It goes without saying that you pay for all that meat, at about $40/pound as of this writing. I love my cat, but that's more than I spend on anything that goes in my mouth. That said, my cat loves this food so much, he sniffed out the bag hidden on an upper shelf in our house and chewed through the packaging to get a few more bites. Considering the price, we're using this as a treat, rather than daily food. Well... at least that's what we're doing with what's left.

I am so happy to have found this brand, the recipe has limited ingredients, only meats and fruits and veggies, no artificial anything or weird chemical ingredients on the list. Just what the cat needs. I have two recipes of this same cat food, the beef variety and the raw duck & rabbit variety. This particular raw duck and rabbit variety was not as successful as the beef one with my cat. She ate it a little reluctant so I had to mix this one with the beef variety and then she ate it. This is a healthy dry cat food formula and I recommend it, if your cat is a little picky I suggest getting the beef recipe.

I never knew my cats could sprint so fast until they started hearing the crinkle of this bag - they literally come running from wherever they're napping! The freeze-dried duck and rabbit combo must be absolutely delicious because my usually picky eaters devour every last nib without hesitation. I love that it's grain-free and raw without the mess of actual raw feeding, plus the mini size is perfect for my cats to crunch on. While it's definitely pricier than regular kibble, seeing my cats this excited about mealtime (and knowing they're getting quality protein) makes it totally worth it.

I will say that my cats were all initially very attracted to the scent of this food and, initially, ate some of it, although they showed a preference for the dry food they usually eat when I mixed them or put them side by side. About halfway through the bag, they weren't eating it anymore. The nice thing about this food, though, is that it's really lightweight and easily crunchable, so it's easy for them to eat. I think it all depends on your cat's preferences whether they are going to like it or not.

This Nature's Advantage Freeze-Dried Raw Duck & Rabbit Dinner Cat Food Mini Nibs, 12 oz | Grain Free, High Protein Nutrition was something my cat refused to eat. This is strange because he eats all cat food and he loves his food. I wish for the sake of this review I could tell you WHY he snubbed it, but he didn't tell me (LOL) and so I don't know. It smelled funny to me. It was hard, like his regular kibble. I tried all kinds of things to get him to eat it. But, the truth is, he didn't and he wouldn't. So, that's all that I can say for my review. His review is 4 paws down, no thanks.
