Really easy to setup. I like this more over the midland weather radio. Don't get me wrong Midland worked. But it's alarm was so loud it I would find myself falling out of bed in the middle of the night scared to death. This alarm has a volume adjust from hi to low. Plus, midland radio uses 9volt battery backup, annoying to get one when you don't use them. This alarm has 4 AA battery backup.

This radio works fine as long as it's plugged in, but the battery backup doesn't work. Using brand new batteries that test okay, once the unit is unplugged, nothing works and all settings are lost. This is unreliable in case of a power outage, as is likely to occur in a severe storm. Also, the external alarm (light) doesn't work at all. I'm returning it and getting some other brand.

I am really disappointed in the quality of this radio. Yes, it works really well, but it seemed cheaply made, and it seemed like they could crack or break easily. I am returning this and I will get.Midland radio is a much better quality
