The gable vent is very well made, but I wish it had been primed. I removed the screen and scraped the glue off the back that held the screen so I could prime it and paint it to match our house. It was a PAIN TO PAINT!!! The screen was difficult to remove and was stretched and damaged when I removed it, so I replaced the screen with some I had around the house using a staple gun with 5/16" staples.Very nice finishing touch to our room addition.

Very rough edges. Needed a lot of sanding and prep work before staining. Uneven edges that did not line up with gaps. I would have returned, but after the work I put in and how high up it was going…I just kept it.

We bought this for our new addition and it’s been installed and looks great. It is well made, good quality and looks beautiful.
