Robust chain and lock. I used this to secure 3 bikes that were attached to a bike hitch on a 2 week road trip. It might be possible to get 4 bikes secured with this as I did have extra slack. The heavy chain locked them in tightly and never gave me any issues. You receive a security card with pin in case you lose any of the 5 keys they provide you with. Also one of those keys has a light on it.My only small complaint is while unlocking the bike the key must stay inside the keyhole until the chain is secured back together again. Other than that I was very impressed with its weight and performance.

Easy to use and good for chaining up our bikes when camping. A bit heavy but it fits our needs.

Lock was in good shape, and it is a beast. Just one problem though: no key was included.

i am 6ft, 230 and i ride with this thing around my chest and i feel like a badass. it is pretty heavy. Long enough to wrap around a pole, back and front tire.thing i found weird, but i suppose is good, you unlock by turning the key. you cannot remove the key until it is locked again. The plastic around the actual lock does feel a bit cheap, but i feel pretty good about the chain overall. much better then what i see other people using.

Ever think what you would do when your key fails to insert and/or lock fails to unlock? This happened to me, the key would insert only 1/4th of the way. Spent some time jiggling the key to no avail. Tapping the sides with a hammer failed too. Now I have a chain which won't unlock. Aaarrrrgh!!!!!Customer Service- 800 number is no longer in service- Online ticket gets response in 4 days- Start complaining and it seems your ticket gets escalated quickly- Todson said to get a locksmith to cut the chain off the lock. Baloney, like their ads state the chain is impervious to bolt cutters [42", 4000 lb]. Tried one and it didn't even put a nick on the chain. Plasma cutter did the job.- Todson did offer a $100 reimbursement for expenses paid and a new chain. Will update later on this.

I've had a couple of bikes stolen and wanted to get a quality lock to protect my new one. I chose Onguard because of a good review in Bicycling magazine. As noted the lock is very heavy. I was very surprised and disappointed when i dropped the chain and the plastic housing around the lock cracked apart. The first unit that was delivered had a cracked housing as well so I guess this is not unusual for this lock. I cannot recommend this unit with the integrated lock housing.

Warning: make sure you know what this lock is before you buy it. It's 6 feet long and weighs around 20 lbs. It's super heavy duty and if that's what you're looking for then this is perfect. I'm giving it 5 stars because it is an absolute monster of a lock. But I do wish I had purchased the 110 cm one (about 3.5 feet long) instead of the 180 cm one. 6 feet is a lot of chain and is very unnecessary for most people. So in short, awesome lock, but probably more than you need. If you're like me, you probably want the shorter one.
