Last week would I have said I needed an app-controlled patio heater? Probably not. However, here we are...The heater itself is very heavy, solid and well made. It has a very heavy-duty cord that should handle the 1,500W all day and night without heating up. The mounting brackets are solid and give a good range of motion. The heat is instantaneous and projects far from the heater. It does say to keep it at least a foot from any wall, but the bracket won't get it 6" from a wall, so you will need to mount it to a pole or some other mount to extend it away from you house/structure. I, however, mounted it to my block patio wall, so no such requirement applied.I find it really nice to have app control, so no need to mount it where I can reach the switch. As a plus, I can adjust the temp without getting up. So, it needed no assembly, just installation, and loading the app. The app was not easy. It was already on my phone, it turns out. It was the same app my landscape lights use. So, that was a plus, but the actual pairing took three tries and I didn't do anything different, it just didn't work the first two times. For $85, this is a very, very good unit and you should not hesitate to purchase.

I live in the mountains at 6700 feet above sea level. Days are warm, but it cools down quickly when the sun sets. Often we'd move inside as the temperature dropped, but this heater keeps the patio warm so we can enjoy the evening outside for much longer. The heater itself is compact with a 26 inch overall length and a 15 inch infrared heating element. Two remotes are included. Each remote requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. What is Included is an L shaped mounting bracket that screws into your wall and attaches to a swivel bracket on the back of the heater, and all the required mounting hardware. The swivel bracket allows you to adjust the heater up and down to direct the heat where needed. Installation is easy, locate a stud or secure mounting surface, then level and screw down the L bracket. Bolts with wingnuts are included to attach the heater to the bracket, along with an Allen wrench to tighten the swivel and hold it in place. The grounded cord is heavily insulated for outdoor use.The heater warms quickly and emits a red light from the heating element as it operates. The remotes have a low/med/high setting for heat along with buttons for 30 or 60 minute operation. There is also a downloadable app which allows 10 heat setting and other features, but I did not try that app. We're looking forward to long summer evenings enjoying nature in comfort!
