Though we ultimately returned the product, it was because our umbrella was not compatible. The product was constructed great and we have no concerns about stability. Overall very impressed with the product and wish it worked with our umbrella. We have a small deck and we're looking for a way to utilize more space and thought this qould work. However, our cantilever umbrella needs clearance on both the front and back in order to open. With the way this attached to the deck, coupled with the location of the pins in our umbrella, we weren't able to get the necessary clearance in the back to make it work. With the right umbrella (one that only needs clearance in the front), this would be the perfect space saving system.

According to the listed measurements this shoudl fit my cantaliever umbrella. It does not, wrong sizing. Would love to return this item, but unfortunately it's past the 30 days, so it's now a very expensive paper weight.

Installation is very easy with this mounting system. Also includes difference size bolts for added flexibility when mounting to post or deck rails. Just don’t tighten too much or the metal brackets will start to bend.

We have steel bars for our balusters on our deck rail. It was hard to find a mounting system for an umbrella that worked with those. This was perfect. It is so heavy and sturdy. The wind may jiggle the umbrella a bit, but the pole doesn't move at all with this set up. Totally worth the money.

I was really worried about saving space on my elevated deck. The bracket came with two different lengths of bolts & quickly clamped to the handrail post (6” wide). It was able to accept a offset umbrella (2” diameter). I did install a block of wood under the bracket to support the weight of the umbrella.

I purchased the umbrella suggested to purchase with it and it didn't fit. Had to return umbrella, now trying to find an umbrella that fits before the return date passes....
