I used this during Christmas to allow a Moravian star to shine bright during nighttime and shut off during the day without having to unplug. The timer face shows 24-hours and is easily set by pushing the nobs in and turning the dial to set on/off times. The mechanical timer fits into standard American outlets which makes this even simpler to use. Currently, I use it for an indoor lamp that I like to keep on during the evening. I can even doze off and don’t have to worry about shutting the light off. It sells for a good price as well.

I am using this for a Halloween light that shines through my window. Rather than plug and unplug, I let this timer do the work for me. It is simple to use and is keeping time correctly, and the light goes on/off as scheduled. The pegs that you push down to set the start/stop push down easily. But it is black on black and is somewhat difficult to see. Black pegs on background white would be better.
