I bought this to rig up a few lamps in my house but ended up using them for Christmas lights. I’ll probably order more. Easy to use. One thing that concerned me was how in the packaging fine print it says that you should wash your hands after handling them because it contains cancer causing substances. Not sure what substance but thought that was strange.

Temporizadores bastante economicos y precisos, muy facil de usar y de excelentes materiales, comprados en $156.11 pesos lo cual es una verdadera ganga ya que es lo que en cualquier tienda cuesta solo uno, y en este paquete vienen dos.

I bought these because we were going away for 10 days on a vacation and needed spontaneous lighting throughout the time we were away. I bought the digital ones which I was very impressed with but needed a few more. I didn't want to pay the price for digital so I went cheap with the analog ones. They are easy to operate and I didn't read the instructions but for those who are not familiar with these timers, instructions are available. The noise is non-existent and they worked just as expected (I have cameras in the house to check while I'm gone). Some reviewers complained about the noise but it must be dead silent in their house to hear these because I didn't hear them even when I was sleeping and the outlet is about 3 or 4 feet from my bed. I would give it 4 stars but the digital are so much easier to use and faster. These do the job and for the budget conscious family, they are great. Overall, satisfied and I recommend.

I just purchased 2 more packs to replace all my electronic timers with the Woods mechanical. I have purchased three packs (2 timers in each pack) in the past, all came with instructions, and all 6 have worked reliably and accurately. I find them much easier to 'program' than the electronic timers I'm replacing. To 'program' per the included instructions:(1) The timers come with the pins pushed all the way in. When the pin is pushed in the timer is 'on'.(2) Pull all the pins out.(3) Push pins in for the time you want the timer to be 'on', i.e. 4pm to 1am.(4) Rotate the clock dial clockwise to set the timer time to actual clock time.(5) Plug the timer into an outlet.(6) Plug the device to be turned on and off into the timer.Note that there is a switch on the side of the timer that can be switched to override the timer mechanism. When the switch is engaged, e.g. in the 'up' position, the device to be operated will stay on permanently. When the switch is disengaged, e.g. in the 'down' position, the device to be operated will turn on and off based upon the mechanical switch settings.Again, I have had absolutely no problems with these timers and highly recommend them.

I have recently gotten into growing plants indoors and have purchased LED lights! When germinating plants I need my plants to get 16 hours of lights on and 8 lights off. It’s hard to do that manually so when I found these timers I decided to give them a go!!!It’s extremely easy to use!! you just pick what times you need it on and what times you want it off and it’s set!! You only have to set it once and it will automatically work day after day!!!! I purchase this 2 weeks ago and it’s been working nonstop since then!!! The times is extremely quiet too!!Right now the 2 pack is only $8.83!!!! That means you get the timers at $4.41 each!! that’s a crazy deal! Guarantee that you won’t find a better deal anywhere online! We look forward to using the timers again during christmas so we can only have the tree lit up during the dark or night and when we go on vacation! Hopefully this will fool people into thinking we are home when we automatically turn on some lights and appliances!! Great buy!

We were going on a vacation and I wanted to fool the outside world into thinking we were still at home, like Macaulay Culkin does in that one part in Home Alone. We didn't have the budget for for all the trains and ropes and cardboard cutouts so we ordered these instead. I love that it's a 2-pack.They arrived on Saturday, I tested them, they worked, we left on Sunday, came back on Friday, and as far as I can tell they were working the whole time.Note to those purchasing: it took me awhile to figure out where the "pins" are. It turns out, all the little white segments that go all the way around the dial are the PINS. You push them into the plug, or pull the out towards you (away from the plug). I think it took me at least a half our to figure that out. I thought I was missing something. Anyway, that's a great feature--in theory, if I wanted to, I could make the lights turn on and off at every half hour increment throughout every day. Some reviews complained about noise. If I get my ear right next to it while it's plugged in, I can hear the clicking sound of it working. i.e. no noise complaints from me. Maybe if I was sitting near it trying to read a book after my kids go to bed, I might be able to hear it, but I doubt it, and I'm only going to use these while all of us are out of town anyway. Not sure what else to say. I don't have anything to compare these to. They're good, you can buy them, that's it.

Sometimes a simple solution works best. I've tried using X10 and Insteon timers and switches but they aren't always 100% reliable. I got tired of my holiday lighting not turning on or off when they are supposed to so I picked up a few of these. Problem solved. Programming and setup is about as simple as it gets (if you can't figure it out then perhaps electricity is not for you) and they work fine. I do not hear any clock motor grinding unless I put my ear right up to it. I am not sure how accurate the clock is but it works good enough for me during the 1-2 months I plan on using it each year. For the power conscious, I measured this using a Kill-A-Watt device and found that the clock motor draws less than 1 watt when running with the switch off (obviously when the switch is on the power draw depends on what you have plugged into it.) It does have only a 2-prong plug. I guess it was really designed for lamps and lights and simple appliances, certainly not air conditioners or heaters or anything serious. The timers do feel a little cheap and light, but I haven't had any issues with them and what do you expect for around $5 each?
