I ordered this for weed control on our 100' of shoreline rip-raft. Rather than mechanically removing weeds, I greatly look forward to scorching them :) I also may use this to start our camp-fires and possibly for di-icing if necessary. The 10 ft hose is sufficiently long but it would have been a bit nicer to have it longer so I didn't have to move the tank as often. The built-in piezo starter makes this much safer than match starting and the turbo button will be useful at not wasting gas when looking for that next weed to burn.

I’ve been trying to back off on using products like glyphosate to kill weeds and vines on our property. We have several acres and it can be a chore keeping all of that under control. I got out this afternoon and toasted some early season weeds with this... lots of fun.The biggest problem with this is if you have a lot of territory to cover, you need to drag a heavy 20-pound propane tank around with you. I work fast and may rig up some type of sled under the tank or maybe even a back strap device to carry the tank around with.For smaller jobs, you can easily make do with a small lightweight propane canister. This device is well made and does exactly what it’s designed to do. Recommend.

Firstly, this is a blast to use. Or a furnace. It's a VERY high quality propane torch that has an inbuilt striker and adjustable gas release on the wand itself. The tubing is flexible and doesn't kink up, and it ties directly into a standard propane tank, giving you enough room to maneuver where you need without having to keep moving the heavy tank. Works REALLY WELL for everything from weeds to stubborn ice after a snowfall/melt. I've also used it for some woodworking projects and really liked how evenly and cleanly it burns. Highly adjustable flame size and intensity. Would work GREAT for lighting charcoals for a BBQ without needing to add all kinds of flammable chemicals that could leach into the meat. Simple, effective, and just plain fun...

Easy to assemble and use. Tubing is a bit stiff so you have to be careful with it. And the carrying case is very thin and you do have to disassemble it to fit it inside it.

This thing does exactly as it says. It makes a good flame that easily can torch weeds in your driveway. We used it to light our fire pit. It's pretty easy to assemble and it comes with a cool little carrying case. It seems pretty durable and does exactly what we wanted it to. I'd recommend getting a little stove top propane tank because the heavy full size ones are hard to carry around.
