I used this torch to burn some wood and then later to burn some weeds. It worked well for the former and ok for the latter. I had an impossible time trying to get the torch lit as the ignition switch just doesn’t spark enough. I improvised by using a long grill lighter and this worked ok. Once lit, I found it difficult to adjust the flow as the handle grip seems to allow for ‘on’ or ‘off’ with no control over how much gas comes out. It comes out pretty fast so the flame is big, but again, there seems to be no other level. For the weeds, if they are green, I think it’s somewhat inefficient as it seems like I needed to burn many of the leaves for several seconds before even seeing any wilting. You will likely burn a lot of propane if you have more than a few weeds to burn. It was easy to assemble and seems sturdy enough with no leaks. I used plumbers tape in a few spots to be sure, but it wasn’t included. Finally, perhaps because of the wind, the torch went out several times while I was using it which was annoying, but easily remedied with the lighter. At the end of the day, it’s nice, but has some flaws.

Hooked up to the propane tank really easily, I like how easy it is to control the flame and how wonderfully easy it is to destroy the weeds. I have a large patch of trees in my back yard that gets really over run by kudzoo and this was the perfect answer to killing them.

Nice quality butane torch for weeds. The torch is easy to attach to butane bottle and easy to use. The controls for adjusting the flame are easy to adjust. The torch is also easy to use for lighting fire pits or burn piles, etc.

I had a very large slash pile to take care of, and once you get this bad boy going, it turned everything to a roar ash pile. The one complaint I have is that the flame easily goes out and takes a lot of fine adjusting to make sure the force of the propane coming out doesn't extinguish the lit flame. Once I got the hang of it though, was able to really get a perfect flame going. Can't wait until next winter to burn some more slash piles!

This torch is a very nice unit. Very nice build quality, and comes with everything you need to hook up to your propane tank. This torch really puts out some heat. I just used it to melt some stubborn ice around my walkway. Not only did it melt the ice, but it dried up the resulting water as well! Nice long hose.

This thing is a beast. I originally grabbed it for yard work, but ended up using it to add texture to some big wood sculptures—and it’s perfect for that. The flame is hot and wide enough to bring out the grain without scorching everything into charcoal. Super easy to control once you get a feel for the dial.The self-igniter actually works (rare, I know), and the 10-foot hose gives you room to move without dragging the tank into your workspace. I’ve tried torches before that felt like a Bic lighter taped to a stick—this one feels like it means business.If you’re into woodwork or just like controlled fire for artistic purposes, this thing is way more versatile than you’d expect. Just, y’know, don’t point it at your dog.

This propane torch works great! It hooked right up to a standard propane tank with no issues. There was some fiddling with two valves to control the flow, but once I got that locked in, the flame produced was steady and strong. The neck of the torch is long enough to keep you comfortably safe, but not so long that you can't clearly see what you're doing. The self-igniter is also a nice feature, allowing you to quickly and reliably ignite the flame.I really enjoyed using this, and plan to do so for a long time to come!
