This little light works great. I have never used a light ring before but I think it did help with my video calls. I think a larger one may have worked better for my needs but this really was helpful.

I missed the clip, it was in the box, but when I unpacked it all, I put the clip below the flap of the box and thought it was not there... it was!OK, The clip is my favorite attachment, a FLAT connector that can slide onto the cold shoe would have been pure perfection, but the clip is good enough.Many of my smartphone holders, each have a couple of cold shoe holders. I am certain I have something that will work perfectly with this light, so let me hit that first... the bottom of the ring has a tripod screw hole, and it comes with three tripod type items, including a tripod, the clip thing and a kind of riser tripod mount... they are very cool and useful.For a light, I might want to place it on a tripod of its own - I have many tripods, I have shot video for more than 30 years, so we tend to acquire stuff. This is a fine way to do it, because prior to finding that clip, it is what I did anyway.I love the little on off switch, because it gives us light color (temperature) and brightness control... I actually was doubtful about it initially, but in a practice run with the smartphone camera - I loved it!We can plug it in for continuous power - or, very cool - I used a power bank... and I am sure it would last a nice long time, and I have a number of those as well - so if I need extra light all day? I am positive I'd have it.Love this little light, it exceeded my hopes, thus, Five Stars!
