Works Well. Had a display issue. Product was still under warranty. Company contacted me within 24 hours of initial inquiry. Tried a few suggested items and then they honored the warranty without issues. Highly recommend

Works as advertised. A little awkward changing rain amounts from per hour to per 24 hours etc. It defaults to per hour. I would prefer to choose what rate to always display. Think hard about where and how you will mount the outdoor sensors. They can’t be on a building side. So on a pole away from buildings trees is recommended. That’s not always easy to do. I ended up using a cement base for outside umbrellas and a piece of 1 1/4” metal conduit for the pole. The bases are about $50.

For those of you who just want to know the jist here is the TLDR: It's a really good weather station for a good price and is pretty accurate once calibrated. The station has lots of features and is relatively easy to set up. The Display is bright and clear and wifi connectivity works pretty well provided you set it up properly according to the manual. Overall very pleased with the device. I would highly suggest reading the full review below if you want all the small details or have purchased the device.I've had this weather station for a few weeks now and I must say it's been pretty great overall. The setup initially is pretty easy just screwing it onto the pole and installing some batteries, make sure to point the solar panel south in the northern hemisphere and North in the souther Hemispehere. I also want to clarify some confusion about the batteries for people who are wondering, the manual recommends lithium AA batteries for the outside unit but that does not mean Lithium Ion, using those could damage the device due to over-voltage, they specifically want 1.5v Lithium primary AA like energizer ultimate lithium, etc, they are single use non-rechargeable but last much longer than normal AA and do better in cold weather as well as not being capable of leaking which can damage the device. Using these batteries should last over a year depending on the solar panel's position. The unit has a solar panel on the front which will not charge the batteries instead it switches to using only power from the solar panel when in sufficient sunlight saving the batteries' capacity for night or low light conditions. The readings I have gotten, after properly adjusting everything, have been incredibly consistent with other weather stations in the area and even the Weather channel. I usually see about a 1 or 2 degree temp difference and humidity may vary about 3-4% from other weather stations/weather channels or wunderground. As for weather forecasting, it can be very accurate if you take a minute or two to properly set it up. The forecasting is based on the barometric pressure at your location and the rate of change up or down at a given time. Based on this you will see better weather if pressure is increasing steadily or worse weather if pressure is decreasing steadily. To calibrate it simply set the current forecast condition to whatever the current weather is outside. After this, it should automatically adjust the forecast conditions depending on pressure changes. I've personally had great success with it accurately predicting rain and cloudy weather and when the weather gets sunny it typically does change to sunny as the forecast. An additional hidden forecast that is not explicitly stated in the manual is the thunderstorm forecast, from my pressure readings and watching the barometer it appears to display this if the pressure has dropped to 29.80 in hg and is still falling rapidly, then it will display lightning alongside the rain as pictured above. This usually means a powerful storm is incoming, again based on my region's pressure, and has displayed twice, once during a strong thunderstorm and the other time during the recent Tropical Storm Debby which had a very low-pressure region that passed over us with very strong storms. Now the display, I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by the display, compared to some of the other LCD type displays I've seen on weather stations this is one of the best. The viewing angles are very good and the brightness is astonishing for an LCD like this. Not sure I've ever seen such a clean backlit segmented LCD like this before it looks almost like a normal computer screen but without the programilbity of the pixels since it is segmented. It is very clean looking and has a ton of features including alarms for high or minimums of any of the sensors which you can set on the unit and also very accurate moon phases and time and date since those are calibrated by the internet. Now the console can work properly without the internet it is not required but it does help set the time and date and keep them accurate as well as allow you to upload the data to any PWS channel like Weather Underground or Weathercloud. Ive seen that many people had trouble with setting up the wifi connectivity but that was not my experience. The manual does explain pretty well how to set up the wifi , you don't need split 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands as long as your router is capable of automatically switching them for different devices which most are. You can choose which service to send your data to but I like Wunderground much better than Weather Cloud since it updates more frequently. To connect you need to make a Wundergound account which takes like 2 minutes and set up the channel key and id for setting up a device. Then connect to the display's wifi go to the webpage specified in the manual and enter in your wifi name and password along with the channel key and ID for whatever service you are connecting the station too. Thats all there is for the setup and the manual has plenty of pictures, ps don't use the other sheet that comes with it since it does not fully explain the setup just go to the back of the manual. Yes, that was indeed a long explanation but I think it will be really helpful to those of you that are interested in the little things or have purchased the device and are confused about how to set it up or some of the features. I really like the weather station and it has not had any issues since I set it up the sensors including the rain gauge have been very accurate in the last couple of storms and overall for the price its a really good and slightly better than entry-level weather station.

With the excellent instructions I was able to configure the display and then install the sensor on a pole that I had a failed weather station installed on previously. The display is very readable and the measurements appear accurate. This unit is a bargain compared to its competitors. I'm very pleased with this purchase and the quick Amazon delivery.

This unit was very easy to setup and install. Only thing I noticed starting out is it takes the unit about a week before the Forcast starts to function properly there are no adjustments you can make on it so it takes it sometime to learn your area. It's readings for me have been spot on compared to my local weather services. Great value for your money.

Installing the device was easy. Trying to connect device/panel to WiFi is a joke. There should be an app to connect via WiFi and should not have to create multiple accounts and logins through various sites to link device.

This would be a nice weather station but it has two problems that prevent it from providing useful readings for temperature and wind direction. The outside temperature is inaccurate, particularly it reads about 8 degrees higher when in direct sunlight. Calibration does not help because calibrating it by 8 degrees makes it read 8 degrees too low when not in direct sunlight. The instructions state to point the integrated sensor to the south to enable wind detection readings. However, when the mounting bracket is attached to a wall this is not possible because the pole is not round. If the direction could be calibrated in the software that would solve the issue. It seems that every sensor apart from the wind direction can be software calibrated. As another reviewer mentioned, this is quite an oversight.Aside from the above, the weather station is well constructed, easy to set up and connection to Weather Underground was smooth. Customer support were responsive and knowledgeable.

The unit does exactly what I need it to do. That being said as others have indicated read the instructions before you start setting it up. Also this does not work with MAC, I had to bring my windows laptop home from the office to get it set up. If this worked with Apple I would have given 5 stars.

I got this unit about 6 weeks ago and found it to be a very well built weather station with lots of functions. The common indoor and outdoor temperature / humidity are accurate. I bought this unit however because this measures wind speed and wind direction which helps me decide what bike routes I want to take in my area. One of the features is that it determines wind chill which is important in our area. Another measurement includes a rough estimate on rain fall. This unit has the ability to connect in with weather underground but I have not even tried that yet. Another good thing about is it has multiple ways to mount the unit. All in all I am glad I purchased this unit.
