it only worked for about a month or so and then the clear plastic like material coating it started flaking off. it unfortunately got in my food before I noticed. I would not recommend as it is not worth it for a month's use of Mac and cheese

I wasn’t as impressed with this as I wanted to be… at least when it comes to cooking Mac with it. I followed the direction and tried cooking Mac with it and it turned out disgusting my kids wouldn’t even touch it. I mean I should have know that microwave Mac was a bad idea but I did it anyways. However, you can heat up other things in it like oatmeal, it works great to heat up oatmeal, or soup… Mac n cheese, not so much.

I was really excited about this purchase because I had a great experience from the ramen version (I got the ramen one for all of my coworkers for Christmas). I am disappointed in the Mac-n-cheese version. I followed the instructions and each time it overflows in the microwave and the noodles come out undercooked. I thought it would be a funny follow up gift but it doesn’t work.

Love this thing, you'll have to use trial and error to find the perfect outcome based on your microwave and stuff like that but when you do its great.

This worked so much better than I was expecting! My kids can make their own Mac and cheese without me worrying about a pot of boiling water on the stove. It’s literally dump, cook and mix. (My kids don’t even use the milk, all they add is a spoonful of butter and the cheese powder.) This cooker is great for school lunch making too. I can make it in the morning and toss it into a thermos all under 6 minutes.
