I think it works fine and is accurate. My only problem with it is that there’s a small hole drilled on the side of it that allows bugs to get in. As you can see from my picture there’s a bug crawling around in there until it dies, I guess.

I was curious what the temperature difference was between the top and bottom of my pitt boss cabinet smoker. This thermometer was the perfect fit to replace the pitt boss emblem that came on the the smoker at the top of the door. It has an alignment pin the fits right in place of the emblem. I feel like this should have been a standard piece on the smoker from the factory. But for the price and ease of installation, I recommend this to anyone with a putt boss cabinet smoker.
