I am using these short cables as patch cords for an anternna panel for HF transmitters ~100W RF. After reading some reviews, I checked the 2 cables I purchased and they are imprinted as RG8X and the PL259 connectors fit my standard fittings. In addition, I tested each cable with a Fluke insulation tester up to 1000vdc and also checked SWR with a RigExpert AA230 Pro with each cable terminated in a 50 ohm load and SWR remained under 1.1 from 500kHz to 30MHz and SWR remained. If they dont degrade over time, they will be winners.

Ordered a bunch of these 2 packs. Most were great but like 1 out of 8 had too much solder and would not go into the plug without using a pliers to compact the tip a bit.

This ''patch cord'' is of very good quality, and is highly recommended for connecting to a power/vswr meter etc, in order to carry out tests, or, on a ''patch panel'' for interchanging transceiver/ antenna connections.
