Nice hat. Husband likes it. I would order myself one since I am a Vietnam era vet myself, but I don't like hats.

I LOVE THIS BALL CAP! The color, the fit, the quality of stitching and manufacturing are superb! I’ve paid twice this much for other ball caps and they don’t even start to compare with the quality of this one. I’ve been wearing this for over a year now, almost daily, and it has held up well. It has faded very little, if any, and doesn’t seem to stain from sweat like a lot of black hats usually do. It washes well in the washing machine, even when thrown in with a bunch of clothes, and just shape it and let it air dry.

Product is simple, straight, and well made.Notes: Over 9 million men and women served in the Armed Forces of the United States between 1964 and 1975. Just under 3 million men and women served in The Theater of Operations, Vietnam, and are rightfully honored for being Vietnam Veterans. Theater of operations included in-country forces, US Navy ships and a very few airbases in Thailand. The other 6 million who served are Vietnam Era/Cold War Veterans who performed duties around the world and in the US. There were three US Army Divisions in Korea along with a strong force deployment in Europe to counter the Soviet Union, and force distribution in South America, Japan and other countries. This number would also include service by Reservists and National Guard members. As of the census in 2010, there were 13 million American men who claimed that they were in-country, Vietnam Vets. This we call stolen honor and valor. The 6 million who served as Vietnam Era Vets, myself included, for the most part received no acknowledgement and, as for me, I didn't feel my five years were worthy of noting because I was not "boots on the ground" in Vietnam. It is only in the past three or five years that we non-combat Vets are coming out of the closet, so to speak, and various manufacturers of clothing items honoring these Vets have come to market. This is the only piece of military clothing I have that refers to my status. My undying gratitude remains to those men and women who endured the unspeakable horrors of Vietnam, but, I too served honorably and I am proud of my service. I never tried to get out Vietnam. I volunteered for the draft in March 1966 and went on a dangerous career path the Army chose for me after Basic Training. George A., Portland, OR USA

This Rothko Deluxe Vietnam Veteran Era cap is a well-made Vietnam Veteran Era ball cap. Like many, many others, in 1967, I volunteered to serve in the military during the Vietnam war. While the majority of my fellow “trainees” were shipped off to Vietnam, Uncle Sam chose to post a few of us to Korea. My heart goes out to all of those men and women who served, and sacrificed so much, in Vietnam, and they deserve all the thanks and recognition they get, and then some. While I am proud to have served our country when I did, I’ve always avoided wearing a cap, or garment, with “Vietnam” on it, as I felt (and still do feel), this should be reserved for those who actually served there. Until recently I wasn’t aware of the “Era” caps that are available. When I saw this cap on Amazon, and read the many great reviews, I decided to join in honoring all who served during the Vietnam era, and I ordered the cap. This cap Is well-made, and, in my opinion, the design is tastefully executed. I really wish Rothko would make a “Served in Korea” ball cap.One final thing: I want to thank all of those who served in any branch of our military, at anytime. This also includes the loved ones, families, and friends of our military veterans, for they serve as well.
