I already have one scan pan that I love so when I decided I needed a non stick medium sized skillet, this was a perfect option. The pan works well for sautéing and is also deep enough to cook a variety of meals. The window on the lid allows me to monitor the status of the cooking without removing the lid. The pan is heavy duty without being too heavy to manage.

I love scanpans and this is now my favourite. It is non-toxic, cleans very easily, and I use it for many different kinds of meals.

Awesome investment. I never ever would've spent this kind of money on this pan were it not for my frugal husband. I'm a high quality stainless steel girl. My husband is a Teflon, Easy Peasy clean type . That said, I got him this. I'm here to tell you it is WORTH the money! It's unbelievable! I've used it almost exclusively...and with all kinds of food...nothing sticks. It's a heavy well made pan with a very good ergonomically shaped handle. It holds more than one might think. The LID is awesome in its own right. It has two tiny holes that provide steam to escape and a see through lid for watching the food without lettin the heat out. I've never used soap on this pan.its a remarkable needed and now indespensible essential tool in my kitchen. Enjoy this treat, justify it because it's an investment (never needs replacement), and I promise you won't regret this one. And no, I have no affiation with whoever made it, paid the same as you and it's a real review.

This is truly one of the best purchases I have ever made. It's an almost perfect pan.Pros:1) It's one of very few non-stick pans that allow high heat. Most others have small print saying they can go up to medium heat only and will slowly disintegrate on high heat. This one is fabulous for high-heat cooking and can even be placed in the oven.2) It does cook extremely well, very evenly, and does not deform while cooking.3) It really is super non-stick. We've been cooking so many dishes (and simpler things like steaks and eggs) with virtually no oil. Sometimes we put a couple of drops of oil on a paper towel and rub it on the pan before cooking, but it's still virtually zero oil, and I haven't had anything ever stick to this pan. Similarly, it washes very well.Cons and a WARNING:The interior coating is very easily scratched, even with wooden spatulas/spoons. When cooking, we use STRICTLY Nylon spatulas that are marked as allowing high heat (e.g. 600 F). Bed, Bath & Beyond sells plenty. When washing, we use STRICTLY soft sponges, not the rough side. Rough/abrasive sponges WILL damage the interior coating, very visibly, as will spatulas other than nylon. Even plastic spatulas will scratch the coating, so be very careful.Besides the abrasiveness of the surface, as long as we are very careful with the pan, it is SUPERB.

The quality of this pan is good. The overall quality of manufacture was very disappointing. The lid did not fit the pan. For the price of this piece of cookware I would reasonably expect its lid to fit properly. In my opinion canpan needs to take a look at it's quality control department.

Perfect size and tall sides to prepare 2-portion vegetable entrees like wilting a whole mess of spinach or chopped kale, along with simmering stews or curries.I use on induction surface. Even consistent heating of pan contents.Very rarely give the bottom a light scrub with Barkeep's Friend, otherwise looks brand new after several months.Inside use wooden or nylon spoon and hardly a mark on the non-stick.Was not cheap, but I got an open-box from Amazon which was accurate in describing perfect condition of pan at a good discount. For me, great value for the price.

Has become my favorite pan. Much better than my best All-Clads. Heat retention/consistency is exceptionally good. (gas stove) Side walls nice for tossing food. Excellent build quality. If I were going to make any comment it would be that I am concerned about the complexity of the manufacturing process to het the glass inserted in the cover but that should not stop anyone from buying this pan. I haven't given a second thought to the fact it is non-stick and it still looks great.

Superb pan! Yes I know it's a serious lot of money but well worth the investment. On numerous occasions have cooked a whole engligh breakfast, eggs, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes in this with NO oil. Used it for burgers and sausages too.Read the instructions and FOLLOW them. Heat at lower temperature than normal. Great even heat conductiveness. Works fab on induction and ceramic too. I was so used to heating my other frying pan on high I forgot the first time momentarily and tarnished the base. No impact on lining etc.The trick is to heat before cooking. With meat place it in and leave for while until the meat seals, then move.I do not diswasher it as it is so non stick I just give it a really quick wash and dry by hand. Lid fits well and the heat distritution etc really does make it more economical on power.Handle does not get get hot easily on hob. Yes it is heavy but I have felt much heavier in other pans of this size.I was so impressed I got one for my son as a housewarming present. He has to be very strict with his diet as a performance athlete and he used it for the first time this week and cooked pancakes all without any oil.Cooking far more enjoyable, and disadvantage of weight is manageable by spooning out food rather than tipping out of pan is far outweighed by all the benefits.

I have had this pan for 6 months & use it nearly everyday. I chose it to get away from traditional non-stick pans & have owned the likes of calphalon, kitchen aid, le crueset brand (to name a few) non-stick pans. I treat all my non-stick pans including the Scan Pan the same: I never use metal utensils, put them in the dishwasher, or scald them. I use oil/butter to be certain not to scald the pan. If you are not willing to treat you pan this way, then non-stick is simply not the choice for you.I love the Scan Pan--the surface is exceptional & heats evenly on the stove top or in the oven. I like it so much I could an 8 inch for eggs.

Bought this pan for my girlfriend for Christmas to replace an older Calphalon that was starting to chip. We use this pan almost daily and after 6 months, there are zero signs of wear. We do take care of it by not putting in dishwasher, not using metal utensils, letting the pan cool completely before washing, etc. I'm sure that metal utensils would be fine, but I don't see the point in risking it if you don't have to.I wish these weren't so expensive, because I want a whole set now! I see this pan lasting many, many years so I'll probably get that whole set eventually, adding a new pan a year.
