It's kind of funny how simple this craft is. Anyone could go buy uncured sponges and do this I would think. My 8 year old however loves this project. She doesn't like to only water the parts she has colored, she likes to water the whole thing and make the whole sponge puff up. I enjoyed only doing the parts that I had colored to try to make it have texture. However I noticed the water would spread where I didn't want it to go and end up puffing up the whole sponge. So that wasnt fun. I think if the applicator tips of the water brushes were thinner and smaller there would be a more precise application of the water to create more clear detail. That would improve this product. However, it's still pretty fun none the less and enjoyable to do on days when you're stuck in the house. Kind of satisfying and relaxing.

this kit is super fun! I have heard so much about shuttle art acrylic markers, and they weren't lying! I love them and I can't wait to do the rest of the fun designs this kit comes with! I also really like how everything is packed nicely, which is really convenient for organizing

The consumer needs to know it is a sponge and if a child places to many drops that is what it turns into, a sponge. I believe it is false advertisement.

This is a fun craft and very forgiving. The item i received was exactly as promised. The acrylic paint markers have vivid colors that are harmonious. I will be taking this kit with me when I babysit my grandchildren and I didn't want to "use up" one of the pre-printed designs as I tested this out, so I drew one of my own on a blank piece of white sponge. It was fun and easy to do. I tried to apply the water carefully so only certain areas puffed up, but even then the water seeped into other areas. So, it did not come out perfectly, but it was still fun and I think the result is cute.

This is a really cool concept; I have to say it was a lot of fun and super interesting! This is essentially painting on a small sponge and adding water to certain parts of the sponge to make that part "puff" up. If you add too much water, the entire sponge will expand (a good way to fix your mistakes).I've wanted to try acrylic paint markers for forever, so this was a nice introduction to them! They are quite forgiving--if you mess up, you can wait for the paint to dry and then just color over it--it'll basically be like you never made a mistake in the first place. You can go over the paint you already put down, as many layers as you want, and it will just paint right over the last layer. I wish it came with more than just 12 colors because I stopped using the sponge pads and just started working on regular paper which was SOOO fun!
