Spare Spike ice cleats for boots are a light weight and compact ice and snow walking device that fits easily and conveniently over all types of shoes and boots. Extremely easy to use, they can be put on or taken off in seconds. Weighing in at less than 4 ounces per foot, the Spare Spike is virtually inconspicuous on the user’s foot or when carried in a pocket.

WALKING TRACTION:
The traction on Spare Spike ice cleats comes from 16 tungsten carbide studs underfoot which enable employees to walk confidently in winter conditions. The spikes on the Spare Spike are replaceable and can be done so without any special tools. Each pair of Spare Spike features a patent pending “spare cleat” built into the upper portion of the toe area, offering a quick replacement part for a suddenly missing cleat.
The Spare Spike ice cleat features dual rear pull-tabs for easy on and off and also has a treaded sole that is designed to provide additional traction in thicker snow conditions. Available in sizes from XS up to an XXL they are sure to fit every one.

We had an ice storm recently and I slipped these on and had no trouble walking on the slick surface at all. They seemed very secure on my shoes.

I had a pair of these same spikes that I got from my school bus company for winter safety on icy roadways or parking lots. I also wear them while shoveling my sloping driveway in winter. Though slippery and icy from freezing drizzle, these spikes give me traction to continue shoveling without slipping at all on the driveway. Wish I'd had these years ago! I bought this recent pair for my wife because they work so well. Very easy to put on over shoes or boots. Is very inexpensive compared to buying boots which will anyway, slip on ice, no matter how good the traction. Bravo!

These are quick to put on and work. Not for hiking up hill in ice and snow, but good enough around the house, driveway and in town.

i love them ! after feeling like i live in Alaska and my world was covered in ice for almost 2 weeks and fell a few times i was done ! my mail carrier actually had these on his boots. they fit true to size and are easy to put on also stays in place ! the spikes are small so u can walk on other surfaces without ice till u get to the icey parts again. they are alittle more than the others but i think its well worth it.

These ice cleats work really well - they prevent slipping and make it really easy to walk the dog on the sidewalk instead of in the street. I would highly recommend them for any outdoor winter walking activities - very lightweight - super easy to put on and take off - don't even know they're on my boots!

Woke up to a half inch layer of ice with a dusting of snow, so put these cleats on my shoes for their inaugural test and Sunday morning walk. Easily made it down the hill on my driveway and up the hill on the road with no worries. I was amazed with their holding power. I was striding confidently after my initial timidity on the ice. It was so nice to have lightweight spikes that work. In addition, a spare cleat is included on the toe rubber.

... you'll swear you don't need these until after you have a slip & fall on ice. Now... no worries. Worth their weight in gold as they literally prevent some of the most painful and embarrassing life moments. They maintain traction of the slickest of ice. I was introduced to these as a truck driver whose company actually issued them and insisted we wear them to prevent workplace injuries. Great product.
