Whether you modified a 10-speed cassette with a One-Up-style expansion cog, or adopted early and wore out your first cassette, the SRAM XX1 XG-1199 Cassette is the pinnacle of one-by technology. By trading freehub bodies for drivers, SRAM was able to put a tiny, 10-tooth cog on the end to balance out the monster, 42-tooth cog on the low end. This ensures that the balance of granny grinding to flat-out-flying is maintained.

I'm still using this even after 7 years. This is on my gravel bike right now as a light weight 1x11 gravel grinder. I've replaced the largest cog on this a couple times with different sizes, but the cassette has been very reliable for me.

Replaced a worn X1 Casette with this XX1 upgrade. Substantially lighter for any weight weenies out there, like me.

Great design, low weight, and at $299, great price for this level product.

Used before, one of the best cassettes on the market. Just pricey. I needed this asap so caved and just ordered this one. If you shop around you can usually find one for a bit cheaper.

Get fast with this one, the ones with cogs wear out too soon, these ones are worth it if you put a 1000 miles a year like i do

I sent it back because all I really needed was the largest gear which is available by itself. When this part was new on my Enduro it shifted perfectly without any physical evidence at all. No sound, no vibration. It shifted imperceptibly even under load. I couldn't believe it. The large aluminum 42 tooth gear wears out however. I have over 1600 miles on mine and it had to be replaced. I replaced it with a 44 tooth gear which works great for me since I am 70 years old and don't put out the wattage of most riders.

When I got a new set of wheels for my cross bike with sram force cx1 I opted for xd driver instead of a freehub and added this as a rear cassette replacing the sram 11-36. It works perfectly, even with a sram force medium clutch derailleur and adds an extra bonk gear when I'm on a multi-hour uphill grind - and it's 100 grams lighter than the 11-36 that it replaced.

I love the 1x11 drivetrain and this cassette is a thing of bike bling. A little lighter than the black xo1 and some say this lasts a little longer. The large cogs on these drive trains don't always last thru a chain swap.
