A set of patio string lights was gifted to me a couple holidays ago. I never opened the box because I did not have the necessary points of attachment for the string lights. I was not interested in renting an auger to set 4X4 posts in concrete as points of attachment. This spring, I finally decided to purchase a set of string light poles. I was reluctant because I did not think the poles would be sturdy enough to support the poles. After purchasing this set of poles, I was extremely please and surprised at the strength and rigidness of the poles. Each segment securely screws together. The set comes with enough pieces to make 4 ten foot poles. I decided to use the pieces to make three 14 foot poles. The bottom piece that buries the pole into the ground is "beast-like". I am pleased with the sturdiness of the poles and look forward to setting up the lights.

This has been one of the best upgrades I've made to my deck. I originally purchased these poles for a backyard party we were throwing. I wanted something sturdy that could hold up colored string lights and thepoles worked perfectly for that. I didn’t want them to be a permanent fixture though, so the fact they break down and fit so compactly back into their box was a big plus. Super easy to assemble too so I wouldn’t hesitate to pull them out and use them again for the next party. I can also see many uses for them in the garden as well, for holding up trellis, to prop up plants, to hold bird netting in place, the list is endless. I also love that you can choose the height of pole you want by adding extra pieces or using less.

I purchased these poles to add string lights around my backyard and these are perfect. Installation was quick. It took me minutes to put these together. The height can be easily adjusted to your liking. I thought setting these up would be a pain because we have rocks in our yard and it was actually rather easy. The poles are sturdy! They held pretty well in the ground with its five-prong fork base. I like how even after setup you can adjust the length without having to take down the poles. I’ll be adding more poles soon as these make a great addition to lighting up your backyard with string lights. I highly recommend this product, definitely worth it!

These do just what they are supposed to do and worked great for my lights. I did not need the hardware that came with them. I like that the ground stakes fold flat, making them easier to move and transport. Also, since it is made of several sections that screw together, you can make them taller or shorter, if you like - and even borrow from the others if you're not going to use all of them. This makes them really flexible. They're really lightweight, too, which I did not expect. That's helpful, but I hope that means the quality is good and they will last a long time. No complaints! Well designed product for this application.

I wanted something to hold up lights near our porch. It is on a hill, so I needed something tall. These poles work great. The sections mean you can make it taller or shorter (my picture shows all of them at maximum height... the hill slopes, so some lights look shorter than the others, but they are all the same height). The part that stabs into the ground has one section that can spin on the pole, so it lays flat to store. And the hooks on top are small enough to fit through the clip of my string light.

I currently have a deck that sits about 4 feet from the ground. I have some wooden poles that were installed about seven years ago, holding up my bistro lights. Over time, due to weather, the polls have warped and the lights are drooping. I saw this set of metal poles as an opportunity to really upgrade my deck lighting situation, and I was not disappointed! Since my deck sits higher in the air, I needed a set that had the option to attach the polls directly to the decking with brackets. This set has those brackets. Due to trees that are close to the deck, I needed the pole height to be customizable as well. This is a nice set for the money, and highly customizable.
