For years I've been putting together an emergency storm kit, which includes the usual flashlight and dry food, among many other things. This is why I think that this SET007 4PCS survival kit would be a good addition to it.This is more like a weather survival kit, because it has a thermal poncho, a blanket, a thermal tent and a sleeping bag. I think that it should be a must have for those of us who lives in extreme cold weather areas.The quality of the items is good considering that we are supposed to use them once—in an emergency. These are not wear every day items. I also understand that precisely because these are for emergencies, the quality should be the best.But like I said above, I've been putting together an emergency storm kit for years, adding and replacing items, and the quality of most emergency kits is similar to this one.

The product page for this item is an absolute mess, so I figured I’d try to give an accurate inventory of this kit. It includes:- A rain poncho, which is a person-shaped mylar bag- A bivy sack, which is a person-sized mylar tube open at one end- A survival tent, which is a person-sized mylar tube open at both ends along with some cord and no stakes- A survival blanket, which is a person-sized mylar sheet- An emergency whistle which is not particularly loud- A small plastic compass which is not particularly good- A locking carabiner which is not particularly strong- A bag in which to store all of these itemsYou’ll notice a distinct lack of first-aid items, despite it being in the title. Nor does it really have anything that might help you survive in the wilderness, like matches, fishing hooks, any sorts of tools... But if you’re in the market for some mylar sheets in various shapes, this is the kit for you.

I'm not a prepper by any means, but it is peace of mind to have survival kits around for emergencies that might come up. This one comes in a very small package that can easily fit in your glove compartment. The bright orange makes it very visible and the various items can come in handy in a variety of situations. Hopefully I'll never have to use this but having all of this in one very portable tote bag is reassuring.

This is the most basic set of mylar things in a bag. The compass and whistle are not at all useful. I'd recommend pulling everything out, keep 1 or two of the mylar things, then repacking the bag with your own assortment of survival gear (good compass/whistle/first aid stuff/water purifier/matches/etc). But if you were in the most dire of straits and needed to keep yourself warm and dry, the contents of this kit would allow you to do just that, for at least a little while.

Got this kit to add to my camping gear / vehicle survival gear. I spend a lot of time outdoors and always looking for extra items to have on hand just in case. The best part of this kit, it comes in a real nice compact nylon zippered bag. Items are made of mylar, and are made for single, one time emergency use – which is fine, as that is all it should be for. It’s a nice little kit to keep in your vehicle as a supplement to other emergency and life saving equipment, especially if you live around cold weather conditions. Each item comes in its own marked bag so you know what you have – A poncho, a survival tent (mylar tube and paracord), survival blanket, survival bivy (a mylar sleeping bag). It does come with a compass that is smaller than the size of a quarter, a carbiner that can be used to attach the bag to your belt, and a whistle that is useless. The kit is very lightweight and takes up very little space (7”x7”x2”). Doesn’t hurt to always have extra gear, and mylar does hold in the heat – or you can just by several mylar emergency blankets and a mylar poncho for about $1.50 each and put together your own kit with everything you may need. Again, the bag is nice, and there is room to add firestarters, some small basic first aid items, a mirror, etc. This is just some extra items, and it would probably be cheaper to make your own custom kit.
