I bought these pliers for saltwater fishing. They are super lightweight, feel quite comfortable in hand and grips and cuts well. I actually like the case it comes with, fits nice and has a loop which fits snug on my ZBelt. Nice deal for the price. The only thing I dislike about this order is the supplied lanyard. Looked kind of flimsy and this morning proved so. After I used to remove hook from a blue, the lanyard stretched and immediately is coming apart. If you order these, make sure you separately purchase a nice dependable lanyard to hold these to the case/belt.

Keeper cord broke as soon as it was stretched the first time. It's garbage. The pliers are just generic $20 Chinese made pliers in a nice leather holster. If you like the holster, it's probably worth it. But definitely NOT American made as other reviews stated.

The coiled cord lanyard shown in the picture is not what comes with the pliers. It’s a cheap elastic stretch band that will surely break with very little use. It is also very short which limits your movement away from the holster. The belt clip on the holster has a somewhat sharp edge, which may wear and tear waders if you are wearing the holster on a wader belt. The pliers do not fit very snuggly in the holster either, so that may be a problem.

Great pliers. They’ve been in bluefishes mouths and still work great. The elastic could be a little longer though.

I’ve had a lot of pliers in my 40 years fishing. These are friggin nice. And the leather sheath is a big plus. Even if they only last me a year which they feel reel good in my hand and they feel like they’re going to last a few I’ll definitely be buying more. Especially for the price. Get some. The sheath feels very stiff when you first get them. But that’s just new. I rubbed some leather oil on it last night and this morning it’s softened up. I’m sure with time they’ll do that anyways but I’m impatient.
