I use this all the time when Iām cooking venison or other extra lean meat. It works very well. Would have given it five stars but it is a bit of a pain to clean.

very low quality low hole for top cover were drilled out with no thread left and housing was cheap plastic.

I bought this so that I could cut beef into strips to make jerky. This is really easy to set up and use. It is substantial - not at all flimsy. Meat was cut evenly. Hand crank so no electricity needed so it doesn't have to be near an outlet. Easy to clean, but the blades are sharp - be careful. It also has a different set of blades to use as a tenderizer. Very happy with the purchase.

Love this thing works great comes with both sets of knife roller , tenderizer and jerky slicer , wish I bought one sooner . Easy to assemble watch your fingers super sharp get a Tupperware container to store them

I like the easy assembling. Quick change out between tenderizer and cutting blades. Great value for the money. Dislikes: very hard to deep clean blades after use.

I always sliced my jerky with a Meat slicer, but freezing the meat to get thin slices got real old. Tried this jerky slicer/tenderizer and but what a time savings this gives me. Works great and I just cut of the fat cap on the top round roast and then slicer it in 1 1/4 inch slices then run it thru this machine. Just make sure that you slice against the meat grain for easy to eat jerky. For a top round roast this is easy. Once the roast is roughly cut, look at the meat grain and orient the meet to have the slices cut against the grain. this with the Chef's Elite marinator makes jerky making fast and easy.

I spent months looking through all of the lower priced meat tenderizer offerings to be had here on Amazon and was just too wary of the ones with lots of negative reviews. The biggest complaint I saw for many of them was that the meat tended to get stuck or wrap around the tenderizer head/blades. After reading many bad reviews on these cheaper models, I decided to at least entertain the idea of the higher priced ones. Let me say I am SO glad I did! It did not take me long to run across this tenderizer and the reviews were much more favorable overall. It turns out, after reading some reviews and finding out from my own personal experience, that the Combs this unit includes, truly are what makes the biggest difference. Those cheaper options don't have the combs, which is why the meats tend to get wrapped up in them.This unit is very well made, came well packaged and only required very slight assembly. In fact, my 14 year old daughter texted me at work to tell be that she had opened and assembled the tenderizer for me when it came. Easy peasy.Solid construction overall, the main rollers / blades are all metal. some parts are plastic, but not CHEAP plastic, it all feels quality for sure. For my picky child that thinks basically all meat is too tough, this has been a game changer. She now eats my tenderized creations happily. I have also been able to save some money here and there, but buying larger cuts of meat, then butchering and tenderizing myself (love some country style steak and gravy) so added bonus for me there!Disassembly for clean up is as easy as removing to thumb screws, then everything comes apart for scrubbing with a brush. My only complaint is that the lower part of the housing that holds the blades is attached to the tall base. Without tools, it cannot be removed. This does make cleaning that lower section challenging, as it's large to fit in my sink. that said, i still absolutely LOVE this unit and have already recommended it to a few people.
