Does not sit as shown and kinda dangles downwardalso the lock that comes with it is not easy to insert a key blindly ( it is pointed down) so I replaced with a better puck lock with more intuitive keywayother than that a welder and grinder should be able to modify this to fit most types of trailers

This trailer lock is very rugged. This is bay far the most durable trailer lock I have ever used. This fits a standard 2" tongue perfectly. The only draw back is that it almost too heavy duty. It is a chore to lug around and install. I use this for long term storage of a travel trailer. I would not want to take it off and put it on often. However, this is the hitch lock to get if you want peace of mind.

Fits and seems to work very well is it 100% guaranteed protection no I learned when it comes to thieves nothing is 100% but it’s definitely a good deterrent. It would drawl attention if somebody was trying to steal it.

These days it is so important to protect your property. A trailer of any kind has thieves that want them. A lock system is one of the better ways of keeping the trailer where you parked it. There are a number of various locking systems and I have tried many of them. THIS is the last one that I will ever need!!This is a solid assembly that will be almost impossible to break into. At the very least, it would be a lengthy job and quite noisey . Made of real heavy duty steel with a lock that is not easily accessed for breaking into. The lock is the "puck" style lock and is keyed in a fashion that is not easily swiped to set the tumblers for opening. The key has a half moon design with regular teeth for tumbler positioning. That half moon is what makes this design work so well.Build quality is spot on perfect. The "ball" that locks into the hitch is a 4 sided piece instead of the 2 sides found on the higher priced items like this. It is designed to also accept your chains, which is where a trailer can also be pulled away from its parking space. I wrap the chain around my tongue jack then clip the ends to this lock device. You then slide the outer casing over the ball portion and then slide the puck lock into the round metal cavity. The lock is on the bottom so drilling it out would be troublesome.Like any theft device, none are 100% secure, but this one is, in my mind, the absolute best. The installation of a tracking device or two would be the maximum protection for your rigs.Best of all is that this is half the cost of the bigger named guys and it works exactly the same way.

This is a heavy duty 1/4 steel with a nice powder coat finish. However, the puck lock is aluminum and cheap. I did have to modify mine to fit the coupler I have, but overall I’m happy with the build and design. I had the tools and steel to modify it, so it was not a deal breaker.
