I have several trailers adorning my yard, and while I live in a pretty low-crime area, there's always that thought in the back of your head that softly whispers how bad it would suck to have someone steal one of them. So, in an effort to quiet those concerns, I got this lock.The lock appears to be pretty well-made. It's got a thick paint job on it, so I can't see the metal that it's constructed from, but I'm guessing some sort of pot metal or zinc. It's super easy to install on my trailer, and it looks imposing enough that I'm pretty sure it would keep your average run of the mill honest people from stealing your trailer, and ditto for lazy thieves, but if a dishonest, motivated thief really wants your trailer, and this lock is the only thing standing in their way, I'm pretty sure you are going to be short a trailer in one minute flat.Overall, I think this lock is a decent deal for the price, and as with most other locks, they only keep the honest people away- the lock is really there to help you feel like your kind of in control of the situation...
