Replaced the factory antenna on Baofeng G11S GMRS radios and more than doubled the usable distance.From (within) my house, going north the factory antenna reached 1.3 miles. With this one, I was able to reach 2.8 miles. There is a large hospital going south from my house followed by more buildings. Factory antenna reached 0.9 miles to the crest of a low-lying area. I was able to reach over 2 miles including into the low lying area.

After days of usage these antennas do perform better than what came with the radios when purchased. They checked well with the SWR meter although we are talking about hand held radios. The fit was perfect and are relatively durable. (please insure you purchase the correct antenna to fit your radio) With the longer antennas the radios are still very portable and the extra length is not a problem. I have not noticed any major distance increases, but reception is clearer with less static. Everyone has different conditions and locations and your radios may perform better than mine. I can only state what I have experienced. For the cost and slight improvement of reception and transmission they are a good product for the money.

checked with a nano vna and saw resonance at 133mhz and 468mhz compared to the stock rb17a antenna that is only resonant at 471mhz heavy and durable feel quite flexible

Didn’t see much improvement over stock.They are, however a real nice upgrade for my uv5r.Remember, these are for 70cm only
