I'm using this as an iPad podium, and I write on the iPad so it needs to be stable. It's not rock solid, but it's pretty close. I do wish it was an inch shorter so it would fit into my small suitcase, but it would go into a 22" suitcase without difficulty. My older (aluminum) stand was actually a tad lighter, but only by a few ounces, and that older stand wasn't nearly as stable.

A very well made, smooth operating mic stand. Unscrew the center post from the legs and you have a mic boom. Far nicer than I expected.

As always, I have quite a bit of trust in Ulanzi products. However, this foldable light stand is overpriced for its quality. The stand is not straight when fully extended!

Pretendo utilizá-lo apenas no estúdio, segurando equipamentos leves.

Stand will not "STAND" in tripod mode. It slips little by little until all three legs are flat on the ground. When a heavy-ish light is on it, it will slip even more until it topples. If I use a much lighter light, it will work fine. I use a C-stand for my big key light but this will be for 12x48 softboxes and that is the MAX weight I think it will hold.If they weren't SO dang compact for travel, I'd buy two more C-stands instead. The price is really close to the same. $125 vs these for $99. If I could do it again, I'd pick another one. If SmallRig made them, I'd trust them.

I use small LED panels for most location interviews but the stands that came with are flimsy, bulky and heavy. These are perfect. Well worth the small investment for something easy to travel with and ready to rock when you get to the gig. I also use one of these as a stand for X-Y microphone stereo recording situations.

I ordered this brand new and was actually sent a used one. I contacted amazon and they promptly sent me a new one and I am glad they did. This is a 5 star tripod for my needs and will be coming with me on many different shoots. The bag/bluetooth clicker/phone holder are decent but really just nice to haves in the end. The tripod / monopod is really great though. It's super light and folds/unfolds quickly. It's really well built and sure, it's a tad flimsy at max extension but it's really a monopod and less of a tripod. I use this with an insta 360 action camera and it works great for taking 360 photos and videos. It's virtually invisible in the shot (you just see the feet) and so light I can take it with me everywhere. I have attached my Fujifilm mirrorless to it and it held up, but I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it. If I ever have a need for multiple lights or other accessories to be put on the side, I'd certainly pick up another for that.

I've had a few light stand through out the entire time i started photography but non come close to this one. I've been looking for an ideal travel stand that is not huge and heavy but can still support my strobe that I always use with me and a diffuser. The ones I am currently using were heavy and cumbersome and huge to take with you to shoots. Until I found this one, it's light, fordable, compact and damn good looking. Yes, I said "good looking"! It's just perfect for my type of usage. Compact enough that i don't need the bag it came with, I can just fold it and hook it on my camera bag. I can just use the bag for random stuff I take to my shoots. My actual tripod is bigger than this and heavier but it's already the compact version or tripods. Yes, its not the ideal stand for using HUGE strobes/lights but if you are like me and want a compact, easy to carry stand for everything then I recommend this Ulanzi stand. Made of carbon fibre, the knobs and locks are easy to manoeuvre. Just attach your off camera flash and you're set. If you want a bit more stability, just put a sand bag on the legs to keep it steady on windy days. Now I am set for both indoor/outdoor shoots this summer.👌 aside from that, my only qualms is the price but you get what you pay for.
