This is the brightest UV lamp I've ever used.It uses high-power 18650 lithium rechargeable batteries, just like the super-bright tactical flashlights. A separate charger (that plugs ito USB-C sources) is included. That means lots of power but it's not as convenient as having a USB-C connection on the flashlight, as you have to remove the cells and place them in the separate charger (which you also have to keep somewhere). Minor inconvenience.This light is so powerful that you can use it in daylight and still see UV-fluorescence 15 feet away. Indoors in the dark, you can imagine.Surprisingly little visible light (blue-purple). It's mostly ultraviolet.Why does anyone want this? Are you thinking I would have to be crazy to get something like this just because it's cool?You'd be right.But as a technologist and hobbyist, it's a great-to-have. There are serious uses—forensics, mineral collection, and if you clean and need to see where otherwise invisible stains (I'm looking at you, Dog and Cat) are.Well built, seems very sturdy. And my pet peeve about flashlights is a bunch of stupid modes—not this one. Push the button. On. Off. That's it. Thank you.

This is a very bright uv light. Perfect for finding cat urine stains. It's really bright and it's powerful. It's also heavy duty meaning that it's built well and it's on the heavier side. The only con about is that you'll need to take out the batteries to charge it instead of charging directly onto the uv light.

I picked up this UV flashlight to help with spotting pet urine and it has exceeded my expectations. The 365nm black light is super strong, making it easy to detect anything in low-light situations. The flashlight is durable, lightweight, and the USB-C charging is a big bonus.It’s great for more than just pet stains—whether I’m camping or just need to check for hidden spots around the house, this tool gets the job done. This is a serious UV flashlight. There are five LED lights in the head of the flashlight. This flashlight has the wavelength of 365 NM. Not a toy. When you shine the light on your skin you can immediately feel the heat of the UV, even from several ft away. Great for rock hounding, searching for pet stains and applications in the forensics field . It has two brightness settings, soft press power button to cycle between the two of them. If you click it off and click it back on it will be on the next setting and not setting it was in when you clicked the flashlight off; just the same as soft pressing the button. When battery power gets low, the flashlight blinks every few seconds indicating low battery unlike most flashlights or lasers which will slowly dim out. It takes two 18650 rechargeable lithium ion batteries giving it at least 7.4 volt operating power. I've dropped it a good few times and it hasn't phased it yet. It does work from pretty far away very nicely an immediately supercharges anything that glows in the dark. Works great for detecting phosphorescent and luminescent properties in fossils and rocks.

This is a powerful UV light. It’s great for resin-printing as it cures models faster than the sun. You can spot ‘anomalies’ in carpet or other fabrics from 10 or 15 feet. You can use it as a spotlight and make a group of ravers really pop or light up the old black velvet rock posters. It’s a PITA to remove the battery for charging, and the on/off button located on the bottom is more awkward than it sounds. This is a powerful, portable, rechargeable UV flashlight that is built to last. It could use a few quality-of-life upgrades, but it’s a good deal on a potent light.

I originally purchased this to detect urine stains from pets. The bigger and best thing i found it detects is pollen. Pollen glows. If you have allergies, use this light to see how pollen settles everywhere in your home.
