We do a lot of travel and sometimes stay in hotels. You hear about the horror stories of things you find in these rooms, on the surfaces, walls, and even on the beds / comforters. I kept hearing about how black lights can detect urine, bed bugs, and other bodily fluids so I wanted to see about getting one of these lights. I have an upcoming trip in a few days and wanted this light to take with me to check out my room, so after finding this option, I ordered it up, and arrived in a few days. The light arrived in a small box, in a bubble wrap bag, along with 3 AAA batteries and a lanyard (but no instructions). The light was much smaller than what was advertised in the AD, as it noted it was 6 inches long and as you can see in my photos, it was about 3 and ½ inches. Also, the AD notes it was 51 bulbs and as you can see, it is only 9 bulbs! Not at all what I was expecting. To test it out, I have been using it to look at various surfaces around the house. This light can pick up dust particles, which you can’t see normally with your eyes. I even went into my bathroom and shined it on my sink and was grossed out by how “dirty” things looked under this light, even though I clean my bathroom counters a few times a week. The light is made of a pretty durable metal so I think it should hold up for a long time. I could not see any notes about being waterproof, so be carefully around water. I would have liked this to be a rechargeable light but I would think the AAA batteries should last for a while, since this shouldn’t be a light you would use for a long time at once. While this light does what it is supposed to do, I was disappointed in the size and the lack of bulbs that were noted, so I would not recommend.
