Worked... Its impossible to get the dog to pee on the stick so I had to watch where she peed in the grass and quickly rub the stick in the area. Got the results and was able to address the problem.

So... Funny story. This stuff works, BUT it is slow acting. So I had my dog, Daisy, pee on the stick, and it came back negative. We went to the vet for her check up because we were on our way out of state. I got home, and happened to see the stick as I was walking out the door with my suitcase. IT WAS POSITIVE. WTF?It gets better. By better, I mean worse. So I call my vet, and he says for me to return because Daisy needs Zeniquin and I have to get it from his office. I head back. I get out of the car. I fall. I break two fingers. I stay home. They do surgery. The surgeon screws up. My middle finger now points toward my pinky. I need new surgery next month. I know this sounds all "slippery slope" but sadly, this IS a true story. FML.Of course, I realize - that's not Cranimals fault. I am clumsy. I tripped over my own feet. And my old Tommy Hilfger flip flops. I was in a hurry. But my point is: had it developed in time, none of that clumsy stuff would have mattered; it wouldn't have happened. I will buy it again, because it is a good value and it saves on an expensive test (esp when you have to do it every six weeks for a dog with UTI problems). I will buy it again. Yes. But I will not forget.

These strips readily detect urinary tract infections in dogs and the strips are easy to read. For some reason, the strip that is supposed detect blood does not always reflect positive even when there is occult blood present. Nonetheless, the rest of the strip works well. If you suspect your dog has a UTI, you can quickly test urine. I say this is a good starting tool, because positive results should be followed up with a visit with your veterinarian for a physical check -up. A urinalysis and MIC susceptibility with culture should be done so that your dog is placed on an appropriate antibiotic.
