This appears to be one very well, built piece of equipment. The outside housing is metal and feels substantial enough to take a hit from a baseball bat. The lower number of infrared emitters does make it less bright than its counterpart that has a few more LEDs. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the size and functionality of the unit. I was less thrilled with the non-weather resistant power transformer. It was very difficult to find a way to plug in the transformer as it’s a little taller than I’m used to. All in all I’m still very pleased with this product.

I haven’t installed this IR illuminator yet—waiting for the weather to clear—but based on my experience with smaller infrared lights, I expect this one to work even better in total darkness. It’s larger, has 15 LEDs, and the 90° wide angle should cover a nice area for boosting night vision on my security cameras. If you’re placing it far from your power source, here’s a tip: just grab a BNC extension cable and use the power cord portion only—no need for the video connector. Or, if you prefer, you can probably find a 50ft or 100ft standalone power cord online. That gives you flexibility for mounting it wherever it’s needed most. For anyone with total darkness around their surveillance setup, this is a great buy. IP67 waterproofing means it’s ready for the outdoors, and it should make a noticeable difference in your camera’s nighttime performance.

I love these IR Flood lights! I have multiple security cameras around my property each with their own illumination. Almost always very limited in both coverage and illumination. Since I have almost 3 acres, with outbuildings, I decided to add this flood lamp. It was very easy to install, with sturdy brackets and hardware, a solid, weather-proof case, and a good long cord. The large heat dispersing fins seem to do really well. I placed it at the corner of my polebarn, about 9 feet high, and as the photo shows it lights up my backyard for multiple cameras to be able to cover! I think I will get two more to cover the opposite corners of the house, and that will "light up" so-to-speak my whole property! No more unlit corners!

High Power IR illumination. I have been using this to supplement my one of my security cameras. It is definitely way more powerful than the built-in ones. Now my camera can see so much better quality than before. I have to admit it is probably double the coverage area than before. It does not have a switch on the unit so are designed to be plugged in and on a timer or dusk to dawn sensor in my opinion. This is a commercial style illuminator that is built tuff and weather resistant. I will also mention that the leds are a visible red if you look at them in darkness although they do not put out visible light otherwise. They just are not invisible. I would highly recommend it for the incredible amount of illumination that it provides for the dollar.

Great addition to a dimly lit backyard camera. I have a cheaper POE camera pointing at my back patio and its quite dim at night with IR mode on. Adding this spotlight floods the patio with light! Solid unit, seems like it'll last a long time. Only issue I have is the power adapter cord is a bit short, and the brick doesn't seem like it'll be good outdoors for long. Otherwise, good value on a great product that will help out those weak IR cameras!
