I don't like that I have to put on reading glasses to read the measurement. Also, all of these devices tell you not to leave them in the plant or they stop working. They tell you not to wash the tips, just brush off the dirt. Otherwise they work great.

I had new landscape and wanted to be sure that I was watering effectively.I found these to read the moisture level about 3" below ground surface. This instrument is amazing. Different plants may need different moisture/watering levels then their neighboring plants.It's so easy to use and read.I would highly recommend this product to others. A great value for the money. They are cute with the little tulip top.So happy i came across this tool.

This thing is great! It's easy to read and shows me how much moisture is in my houseplants soil so I do not under or over water them! You simply insert the probe, read it and wipe. Onto the next plant. This is one of the best things that I've ever bought on amazon. You only need 1, not the 2 pack.

Perfect. I love house plants ,but have no sunlight or humidity in my room . So I must use artifical grow lights and humidifiers. I have very small (1/2 cup size ) succelents and regular size palms. I lose so many plants due to under and over watering it is hard to find the right watering schedule and amounts. I did not know these "testers" where an option. I didn't need anything fancy, just a gage as to whether it is wet, dry, or moist. I relied on a wooden "stick", that didn't always reisgtster right. now in seconds and with no guess or mess I can know where all of my plants stand . Yay !

Very simple and easy to use/read item. When compared with other, better quality moisture sensors, however, it reads low. The finger test corroborates. So, I won't be using it again, as I don't want to overwater.

I purchased two. One with shorter and one with longer stem. Different companies so I would be able to compare them. They both register the same when I test plus it seems to match the soil. It also tells me I have watered unevenly because one part of the pot is moist and one is dry or wet. It is a good tool.
