Works great as a piano lamp, desk lamp, table lamp, or anywhere else you can mount the C-clamp and run USB power. Five different brightness levels (~1.4a @ max power), three white temps, and a sleep timer. Overall it's a nice little work light for whatever application you can use it.

The clamp fits perfectly on the piano lid! The color and brightness options are great too, and the neck of the lamp is high above the music stand for even large music books. Great find!!

This is a great alternative to my very pricey, very beloved Ott Light! Easy to bend in the direction you need, pretty good brightness that you can change, and great feature to be able to change light from cool to warm tones. Luckily it's the right height for my drawing desk because even though they included an extra extension rod to make it taller, there were no instructions for this in the little booklet and I have no clue how to do it. This is a very affordable way to get great light for a desk or craft table, though note that I certainly wouldn't want to use the clamp on a piano -- nor do pianos have a place to attach it like that.

I have a Kawai CA-99 and this lamp would not work with it. I don't know if it's because the wooden part of the cabinet on the back didn't have a long enough ledge so-to-speak or if it was because the disc/plate on the screw portion of the clamp was unstable so wouldn't completely tighten the way it should, but either way, this would not work with my Kawai digital upright. Fortunately, I was able to repurpose it to use on my desk. As long as the ledge/area where this needs to be clamped is long enough to fit the entirety of the clamp, I'd recommend this product. It gets pretty bright and has different color settings to suit your preference so overall, it's a good lamp.I'm giving this 3 stars for 2 reasons:1. I'm unable to use it with my piano as the product description advertises2. The small disc/plate is very unstable and wobbly (which I believe is why mine would not work with my piano because where I wanted to clamp it didn't protrude out far enough to fit the entirety of the clamp so the wobbly, unstable disc kept shifting and wouldn't lay flat, making it impossible to clamp on a smaller ledge).

I have three keyboard "stations" in my studio, each of which need extra lighting for night time sessions. This is the perfect lamp for the smaller of the three. It's got a nice quality of light, and puts out plenty. The clamps are sturdy, and it was quite easy to install. Can't complain. A perfect solution for a good price!!

Although I got this light to use on my workbench, I am going to write about lighting pianos. I seem to be without a piano, so I clamped the lamp to my kitchen table for the sake of the accompanying photos.True story; I learned how to light a piano from Aaron Copland. The keyboard needs to be lighted end to end and not have a shadow line running along the black keys. The music must be bright with no glare nor hot spots. The light needs to cover folios and conductor’s scores. The player must not see the actual bulb or bright spot. When turning pages, neither the pianist nor a page turner can bump a lighting fixture. In my working career, I set up lighting for hundreds of pianos and their performers. But the technology available throughout my career dated back into the 1930s. Then came affordable LED lighting. This lamp is an excellent example. With the extension included, this lamp can be clamped behind the music rack of most pianos and reach up and over a folio. The reach toward the player is long enough that the LED housing can be tilted back toward the music and still be close enough to the fall board to evenly illuminate the keys. Although I would prefer sliders to control both the warmth and light intensity, the presets on the buttons should work fine. The pianist can make the settings at a rehearsal/sound-check, and the lamp will hold them when powered down and restored. Two of these lamps would be even better, but one should work well. Then there is the problem of the cord(s) powering the lamp(s.) In the old days we would tape them to the piano and run them along the case to a leg, down, and into a connecting cord to an outlet or to the house dimming system. Yes, I said “taped!” Wide black electrical tape which matches the Steinway paint sheen. This lamp has a very thin USB power cable which can innocently lay along the music rack slide and disappear over the edge. Unfortunately, the cord is not long enough to do this and reach an extension cord on the floor. Tape is still needed. It would be sooooo much better if the lamp was battery powered. (Keep reading . . .)There isn’t much to the instruction sheet. But there were some bold-face lines that caught my attention. Namely, don’t use common high-speed telephone, watch, tablet, and computer chargers to power this lamp. Use only blocks that output 5 volts. One is included, and you probably have a drawer full of them. One of my photos shows how to look for the voltage label that has to be on all of this sort of equipment. Hummm. Common and cheap power bank batteries put out five volts. Yes, you can power this lamp from a rechargeable power bank battery, which can be tucked behind the music rack. Perhaps with a bit of tape! I did not test how long the battery would last, and so this might be great excitement over nothing. If you play a piano, get this lamp. By the way, it is also a great desk or workbench lamp.

This lamp is very nice but seriously lacks the necessary instructions! I shouldn’t have to play detective or search around on the website to try and figure out how to assemble or use a product. The light is very nice with a clamp to attach to a table or work surface and a cord with included adapter plug. It is bright and has different settings but absolutely no instructions on what the settings are or how to use them. There is an added clip and pole extension but no instructions on where they attach. I think it is a good value but I feel like I can’t use the product to its full capacity because I can not understand how it works fully. This frustration and confusion could all be avoided by additional instructions and information from the seller.
