I know I purchased these on Amazon at a very low price, so maybe I should not be so disappointed. On Amazon, this appeared to be police SIREN whistles. Both of them are shaped like a police siren type of whistle. I opened one of the two individually wrapped whistles and blew into it, both softly and vigorously, but what came out was only a very weak, anemic little toot, no matter how hard I blew the thing. These are so inexpensive that I am not going to send them back. They come each with a little rope attachment, and in my estimation... these are just only toys. Lord willing, I plan to just give them away to some little kids that are 6 years old or older. Have a nice day and thank you for reading my rather long review! :)

As part of one of my jobs, I find myself controlling traffic at times and needed something to get attention of inattentive drivers. This whistle does work, but does not produce the unmistakable sound of a traditional acme whistle. Seems both sides are tuned to the same note or one side doesn’t even work for whatever reason

WE expected to get a siren whistle, which is a whistle with a little ball on the inside.This was very costly for a plain whistle.
