Handy lightweight acrylic emergency sighting mirror that can be attached to a bag or use the attached adjustable neck lanyard to keep in place. This is lightweight takes up no room and is a very handy piece of emergency equipment, especially for hiking in the backcountry. Can also make a very good training aid if instructing orienteering or outdoor survival.

No issues here! These are an absolute must for any backpacker. At only 30g these could be a lifesaver if needed. They easily reflect light, have build in instructions, emergency whistle, and a hole in the centre to help aim at your potential rescuer. While they have a cling film on them (and still reflect light) I would recommend putting them in a sunglasses pouch to help protect them. I will also be replacing the cord with a survival paracord but that’s a me thing. Overall I have absolutely no issue and would undoubtedly recommend. Thanks for stopping by. Hope this was helpful

Not a professional product but will work for our grandkids summer camp. 4 stars due to the viewing window is a little blurry, but usable

Poorly constructed instructions with wording errors on each signal mirror is an immediate indication of how effective this item will be. Each mirror comes individually wrapped with the lanyard and whistle already attached. The presentation of the product is nice and if gifted the receiver would initially be impressed. This is nowhere close to an old military signal mirror from back in the day. The reflective material distorts the sunlight and will not provide that intense flash of light that is needed for rescuers to locate you. No crosshair aiming in the viewing window as claimed in the advertising. Picked these up for flight bags but I’m not sure they are trustworthy to signal for help.

Works great for signaling someone because it has a way to sight where the flash goes.

I had an Army signal mirror I got from a surplus store over 60 years ago, but some time through the years, it was lost. When I saw these, I knew they wouldn’t be anywhere close to the big heavy glass mirror of my childhood, but maybe it would at least function. Sadly, I was wrong. The plastic doesn’t seem distorted but the reflective layer on it, is very distorted. Not only does it not reflect a single light spot on where you are aiming, I couldn’t find that it reflected any kind of focused light. Very sad.

Look somewhere else, cheap reflection material, get what you pay for I guess.
