If you have a kid with a powered ride-on device, you know the frustration of having them ride around in it for a while, then having to wait half a day for it to charge back up. With these, I can wire them into the system and just pop a new Ryobi battery in to let the fun continue. As a bonus, the vehicle now REALLY moves! The added on/off switch is helpful so you can turn off the power to change out the battery. This protects both the toy and the battery. The added fuse is also a great safety addition to others I've seen like this.

We hooked this up to a couple best choice product jeeps and it makes them almost twice as fast. Fast and easy installation, would definitely recommend buying this.

You can't access the 'extra' current that the new Ryobi batteries will dose out with the newest brushless motor tools - so it's no use on the newer batteries, since it'll be limited to the standard draw. But really, these are a pretty good idea if you need 18V. The connectors fit - but careful as you size your fuses - you may need to lower the value.

There are so many times in a normal week that I need to check if something battery powered works or not without. I don't want to wait until I've installed the item in a car or ATV to test it because then it is too late. I've thought a lot about buying one of those expensive power supplies that allows you to adjust current, but I don't have the cash to throw around to get one of those.Enter these adaptors. They work perfectly and leverage a battery system that I am already up to my neck in.Just in the last week I've used these to see if a winch works, to see how the harness to an offroad fog light is wired up (no schematic provided) and to test some battery powered lights to see if they work. The fact that the adaptors are fused gives a level of protection against something significantly sideways, and the included quick connectors make it a breeze to safely connect almost anything to the adaptors. They are also rugged and durable. They can take a drop and rough handling with just a shrug. If you are in the Ryobi battery tool eco-system, these adaptors are almost a no brainer. When you add in the affordable price, there's really no reason not to buy them.

I run several Arduino and Raspberry Pi systems. The computer boards run from 5V USB, but it's certainly useful to have a portable 18 volt rechargeable battery for the motors. This adapter makes it easy to supply 18 to 20 volt power to high current motors and heaters.l especially appreciate the 30A fuse and the double-ended Wago clips. Makes it easy to hook up quickly! And, since there's a built-in on/off switch, I can wire up things with power off and flip a switch to get it going.Since I have a half-dozen Ryobi tools and maybe 4 or 5 matching batteries, there's always a source for a charged up 18V battery ("Ryobi ONE").Note that the Ryobi ONE lithium battery puts out about 20 volts no-load. After drawing an ampere of current, the voltage drops closer to the advertised 18 volts.I suppose you could charge the battery from this adapter, although I haven't tried. The ordinary Ryobi chargers work well enough for me.In short -- a handy adapter for any robotics or arduino enthusiast!

This review is for the Vibit brand adapter for Ryobi 18 V batteries.I got these so I could connect a DC-DC converter to my Ryobi batteries. I want to convert the 18v coming from the batteries to 12v.These are the best ones that I have found. They have heavy 12 gauge wire, a switch and a fuse. Lockup on the battery is very solid. The kit includes fuses and Wago style connectors. After seeing what else is out there, I am glad I found these.
