I play in two working bands, and use two sizes of sticks: Vic Firth 5A and Vic Firth 7A, both with nylon tip. The 7As are great for playing fast stuff because they are so light, and I love the way the nylon tips sound on my cymbals.I break maybe one or two sticks a year. Of course, when I was younger and playing rim shots every time I hit the snare, it was a different story. A pack of these wouldn't have lasted me long back then, which was why I played on 2B Pro Marks (Oak) at the time.These are great sticks. I just don't understand why it says "nylon" in the description when the picture shows a wood tip.

My husband goes through these in about 6 months. He practices 2x a week and is definitely not a hard drummer. They would never stand up to hard playing. But decent enough for the price and quantity.

I tried a couple of others and I had to come back to the one company that gets it right. I play all the time and need sticks that last and these do!
